I hate patents like that. It only hurts technology when general idea patents are allowed.
Actually, he first thing they did was blame the guns! You should be able to admit though that some unbalanced whacked out person who really should have been institutionalized and medicated could be negatively affected by a violent video game. I don't think mentally sound folks are pushed over the violence line by video games, but if you already aren't functioning normally they might just give you a little extra push.
I'd be interested in this if they would remove the drm that ties the download to a single console. I'd like to be able to move my external drive from one room to another and be able to play the game. I guess I'll need to stick to physical copies until they fix this. I would be very angry if I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of games and have my console break. As it is I would lose all those games if even though I had a second console.
Agree. The first Bioshock was one of the few games that had me starting over as soon as I finished the first play through. The second one though started to show more action/shooter than the first and I came to dread the inevitable Big Sister battle. Couldn't wait for Bioshock 2 to end. Not a chance that I would replay it.
Unfortunately, at least for me, 3 looks like even more of an action shooter than 2 so I'll probably just pass on it.
I think you could play Devil Survivor Overclocked at your own pace. You just needed to get certain things done before it triggered to the next day. Probably more like the Ruin Factory game that I couldn't play because the day would change before I got done with all I wanted to do.
At least the box calls it "must have shooter" and doesn't try to mislead people into believing that it is related to the wonderfully artistic first game. Since it's just another shooter I guess I don't need to buy it. Such a shame.
I don't think anyone on this board would qualify for the "target audience". There are still families that can't afford internet access bills and this looks like a great little system for kids. Not everything is about "core" gamers. They'll probably sell a bunch to people who really want them and that's the point.
I never liked the motion controls but the Wii U's tablet is a different story. Unless you are a fps limited gamer you will love what can be done with the pad. I'm sure most of the people who say that second screen isn't great haven't actually used it. RPG gamers will love it.
Maybe he is saying that he has failed to make entertaining games?
Could be the Disagree clickers were brain dead zombies that couldn't read or didn't care if they were wrong.
When I see some strategy RPGs like Tactics Ogre and some big beautiful turn based RPGs I'll buy a second Vita. Don't like to jump around or shoot things and I want a good story. Persona 4 will hold me for a while but I don't know of anything coming after that.
Oh yeah nearly forgot about that. I can take my old DS games and play them on my 3DS but with the Vita I need to take my old PSP UMDs and check to see if they have the title on PSN so I can buy them again.
I love the screen on my Vita but I'm getting tired of not having games for it. At least Persona 4 will be coming someday soon. Maybe that will drive some Vita sales.
Don't worry about it. Sony will let you re-buy all your old PS3 games in a new format to play on your new PS4.
Sorry, I meant no offence to those of sinister dexterity. And you're right, I tend to lump all those narrowly focused groups that defy common sense as lefties. Just a habit. I'm sure there are some crazy righties too.
Gotta love the lefties. Broken brains seem to be a common affliction. Free Pikachu!!!!!! Save the Medfly!!!
That almost sounds like an excuse for slavery.
Changing everything to action/shooter is not necessarily improving things. Trying to please the masses instead of making something special that will appeal to a smaller number of folks may improve investors moods, but doesn't mean better games.
Wow. I guess the music of Mozart, Beethoven and Bach aren't any good any more? Or old classic movies with Bogart and Bacall? Or maybe nobody should bother with Dostoevsky? Some things transcend time and some games from years ago far surpass anything out today - oh - unless, of course, you're one of those who judge a game by it's graphics or how many things you can shoot per second.
I wondered that myself. I would suspect that sales of the console the week before the super-slim was released would be near zero. People would either wait a week for the new console or wait to see if the current model would drop in price.
The guns are inanimate objects that haven't changed much over the last couple of generations. Our society has changed though. I don't believe games make a normal person do violent things but who knows how they affect an already unbalanced mind? Same for movies. People want to ban guns because some teensy percentage of people are whackadoos. If they can do that to something protected by the second amendment they can start reaching for games and movies that are protected by the fir...
