Is a devotion to a single video game console much different than say... being devoted to a particular sports team? I'm interested in other's thoughts on this. Because in my mind they're very similar. I just wonder how gamers who are fanboys differ from any other kind of fanboy. Being a gamer and a fanboy is so often looked down upon, whereas in other forms of entertainment a 'fanboy' is considered as more of a 'fan' from my observation.
"PS3 IS IN LAST PLACE and WILL BE for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG time."
But you're saying it will eventually pass up the 360? I mean... you didn't say FOREVER... you said just for a long time. Cool.
Yeah, my avatar being Makoto Nagano (from NINJA WARRIOR) must mean I'm Asian.... right. -_-
This isn't about the console war you f*cking idiot. I didn't even mention the PS3. And talking about Juuken not using FACTS. Yeah, that's rich. I guess all your comments are a figment of my imagination. I don't care about your hatred or love of a piece of plastic... but members here should not have to put up with such vulgar attacks. No matter who you are.
Reported as offensive and PM'd a mod. Being a fanboy is one thing but you're just being a scumbag.
I encourage everyone else to report him as well.
I just have to wonder how 'rough' this translation is. It just sounds to me like me might mean they have no plans to port over Tales of Vespiria, even after they finish with Eternal Sonata and Tekken 6. Not that they're stopping PS3 support altogether.
Taki thanks you. lol
I'll be selling these at half price today.
Haha, great one iamtehpwn! Already bubbled you a second ago! :)
"What if I get lag out there?! I heard there's no respawn points in RL!"
I really don't feel these games should be compared at all. Even though I myself prefer Gears I think this would be like comparing Gears and Halo. They're two different genres and they're not very similiar besides that they both feature guns. I don't know why people are so quick to pit these two titles against one another.
Cliffy talks too much sh!t. That much is sure. He should let his game speak for him as it certainly can on its own. There's the difference between him and Te...
With all do respect, I think it should be stated that the Xbox 360 is currently the home of RPG's for THIS GENERATION. I'd agree with that statement as of this moment... though I think both the PS3 and 360 are still lacking in great J-RPG's. But I believe it will be a long time before the PS2's library of quality RPG's is passed (if it ever happens). I'm not saying the 360 isn't doing well in that department. It's getting there and Microsoft's done a pretty good job at securing those titles. ...
I'm just not sure about Rare these days. Even looking at their last title before being acquired by Microsoft I started to notice a small decline. Starfox Adventures was a solid title I think, but while it was polished... it basically felt like a Zelda game where you play as Fox. That being said, it's still one of my favorite titles for the Gamecube. I won't say that they haven't made any good games for the 360... rather I myself just haven't been impressed by them in awhile. And I'm not sayin...
It'd be great if they surprised us by releasing the beta tomorrow. lol
Not only is the article dumb, but they don't seem to know that MGS4 put up very good numbers in a country where the series isn't even that possible. They also forget that the PS3 install base is still only a couple million over there. It's not like the PS2 yet where practically everyone owns one over there.
I do think it can go both ways of course. But really I can't see how some people might say they're interested in a title like Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts and have no interest for this. Sure, they're games that are a bit different, but still don't get how some say they're turned off by LittleBigPlanet's style when they anticipate that game. It's just very odd to me... though I do understand many are extremely biased.
Oh well, I'll be enjoying LittleBigPlanet on my PS3 AND Gear...
The video on that website. How could anyone watch all that and still not think this game has ENORMOUS potential? Honestly... how? I understand that it may not interest some people... but this is more than just a simple level editor game. You can do things in this game that you cannot do in ANY other game available. I think the youtube comparisons are pretty spot on. There will be a ton of crap... but with that will come some truly unique and amazing stuff! You look at almost any game with use...
I think eventually downloads will overtake retail... but we're still many years from that. It won't happen till more people have higher internet speeds. For myself, I'll still by games on disc whenever I can. That's what I'll be doing with Warhawk and and SOCOM: Confrontation and any other game that's also released on disc. Not only do I think it's 'safer', but I'm also big into collecting things like this. Was the same way when I focused just on my DVD's. To me there are just more advantages...
Some of them weren't bad. I made quite a good MGS4-style Big Boss. That's actually quite an easy one to do and you can get him pretty damn close. From the side it really looks like you're playing as him.
I've never played a SOCOM game and this is still one of my most anticipated titles for this year! I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen this game getting as much attention as some others. I think LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, MAG, and this game are going to usher in a big surge of online gamers for PSN!
I've actually never played it. I wasn't knocking the game... just making an example. People love to talk about MGS4 coming to the 360... Lair and Haze 'failing'... y'know, all that stuff we've heard a million times over.
And while I can't really give my opinion on Lair, I myself didn't find the Haze demo to be so bad. The controls were fairly good and while it certainly did seem 'great' to any degree... it just seemed like an average FPS. Not the TERRIBLE HORRIBLE VERY BAD THIN...
Anyone notice they left out PS3 exclusives such as SOCOM: Confrontation, Moterstorm 2: Pacific Rift, Valkyria Chronicles, and Disgaea 3?
And on the Xbox 360 side they left out Infinite Undiscovery. Really L4D isn't exactly exclusive (appearing on PC) and they could have slipped that one in its place. Though I'll admit you can argue that it's at least exclusive when it comes to the consoles so I'm not trying to say it NEEDS to be removed.
Anyway... I just noticed ...
