If next gen doesnt start until 2014 I will stop gaming. Not because of graphics limitations, but because I'm sick of the same old games coming out every year. It's well and truly time for a change.
I'm happy to pay 100 bucks so why not sell it for that much? The idea of F2P is that they can reach many millions of players especially in the growing markets in China, Russia, South Korea, India even where F2P is the only viable model.

He said all their games after their current contracts are fulfilled will be F2P. EA likely have contracted to another Crysis game if 3 isn't the last in the series. So after Crysis and Ryse are done, I guess it's F2P all the way.

Games like this show the sorry state that the gaming industry is in at the moment. Publishers are just not willing to spend the extra money and time on making a game properly functional before the release. As much as I like this series and developer, I hope games like this that take early buyers for a ride fail hard, it is not good enough.

Call of Duties aim hasn't been to be realistic in a long time. For some that might be a bad thing, but for others (most people I would say) a less realistic arcadey experience is more fun.
I had the touchscreen and power button fail on me within minutes of each other.
To anyone considering buying this device really DON'T. It is shoddily built, runs ancient hardware which means even some of the Xperia Play optimised games don't run properly, it has so little internal memory that you will forever be trying to shift things to the SD card, plus it runs really slow when the internal memory is nearly full. I hate how his textures are always so lifeless and plain. They don't particularly realistic looking apart from there resolution, but they aren't artistic pleasing either.

If you ask most people I'm sure they would say it isn't a 98/100 game so in that sense it is overrated, but its not mediocre by any stretch.
I just about reckon CE3 is already better except for overall texture quality, and that is more a technology limitation not an engine limitation. Lighting and particles in that demo were pretty weak.
