Article raises good points but lacks credibility in my eyes by drawing a few too many long bows.
For example, the developer of Tomb Raider saying that players "will “want to protect” the new version of Lara Croft, thereby implying...(Croft)...is somehow only functional under the protective oversight of a man." The developer is clearly trying to say here that they have developed the character so well that players will actually have a meaningful connection with her. T...
As it should be, if consoles cant handle it then PC shouldn't be punished.
Sigh, that was PC footage, just hooked up to a 360 controller. People need to stop making up their own facts around here...
@Creative Enigma - Am I right in saying he was talking with reference to the PC version only. If so, to talk about frame rates on PC without mentioning specs is pointless.
In any case, MoH 2010 definitely only ran at 30FPS.
What innovation? Everything there has been done before by either an Android tablet or another Win 8 device...
The Windows 8 version is too bulky for my money, nearly a kilogram and 13.5mm thick is too much for me especially coming from a Transformer Prime which weighs so much less and is much thinner. As for the Windows RT version I'm not sure if I could justify upgrading until the app ecosystem takes off.
The Ivy bridge one should theoretically be able to, but the other one definitely can't, as it runs Windows RT which means it isn't compatible with x86 applications (I.e. all apps made for previous Windows OS's).
As an owner of the device that invented this tablet + keyboard set up (Eee Pad Transformer), I can tell you that it is much better than a simple laptop. Its a tablet OR a laptop depending on what you need.
Stop going to EB games if you don't want to pay $100+
Big W have been selling new release games for $68 and JB for $78 lately. Still exorbitant but not too bad...
Name me one company that would sacrifice billions of dollars for basically no reason. In any case, if they released all the new stuff as DLC then people would rightly complain about splitting the community to ludicrous levels. Can you imagine if they had to have different playlists for people with a mix of the weapons, maps, kill streaks, etc from each of the three games. That would be 100's of potential combinations which require people to be separated from each other for balance reasons...
But why would they do that?
You would hope that their all new product would be better than the old ones...
A leap kind of implies a large jump, 5% is potentially a statistical error.
So it can render it, but not very well...
The Power of PlayStation 3!
Anyway, stop trolling.
Agreed, I have 88 retail games on PS3, 65 of them also on Xbox 360. Plus there are another 20 odd games I have on PC which are also available on both PS3 and 360.
Exclusives are great, but I don't see them as necessary for a platforms existence.
Anyone else reckon Geoff Keighley and this twat do more damage to the gaming industry than all others (excluding Bobby Kotick) combined?
Agreed, if nothing else, at least CE3 can render metal that looks like metal and stone that looks like stone instead of every shader looking like low res melting plastic. I cant believe UE4 still has this problem, but there you go. Bring on the CryDomination.
I don't see why anyone cares so much. Its a f**king game for Christs sake. When did people become so petty that they actually care about the real world politics of a fictional games story line...
@ Below, it's fair enough that people are annoyed that they are being lied to if indeed as seems to be the case Connor is not neutral. The thing I don't get is why so many people are upset over American's being killed.
No one wants to see them murdered, but why is it more wrong to see them murdered in a fictional game than it is to see anyone else murdered in a fictional game?
Also, it was America who started the nuclear weapons race, and religion, which you american's are so fond of which flew planes into buildings.
I think so, Assassin's 2 is still one of my top 5 favourite games of all time, but it took me a long time to get into Brotherhood and consequently months to finish, and I haven't even bought Revelations yet because I just got burnt out on the series.
The amount of time you spend with these large open world games means that its easier to get burnt out on them than for something like a shooter with a 5 hour action packed campaign. So unless Assassin's 3 truly does play...
