It's nice to have some concrete evidence that those idiots who thought BF3 could be run at 500FPS were just that, idiots.
I could see Sony buying Quantic Dreams, although it would be a risky buy because their games are far from mainstream, and perhaps more likely to fail.
Novarama is another possibility, Sony will definetly be looking to make smaller more friendly games for Vita.
Housemarque are also a probability, I would be surprised if we don't see them pumping out Vita games in future which will also be on PS3 as downloadable games, similar to Dead Nation.
If there isn't, I would like to bet that the hardcore gaming industry will collapse to pre-PS1 levels. In 3 years time the PS3 and 360 will be so outdated that there will be phones/tablets/handhelds approaching or exclipsing their levels of graphics and features. I can't see how it is going to be sustainable for developers to develop for the hardware considering the enormous constraints they will be under.
I would like to bet however that both Microsoft and Sony will ...
This is from an interview with Develop magazine, a magazine FOR DEVELOPERS, of course they are going to plug their engine, why would you get angry at them for doing so?
For me, Crysis 2's beauty is unmatched, from a technical or artistic level. I don't expect everyone or even anyone to agree with me as it's my opinion based on my on preferences. However, I think it is profoundly stupid to think it neccesary for every game to have an unrealistic art style to be con...
This is actually a duplicate from a story that was run about a month ago, so don't get angry at Crytek for talking too much.
In any case, if you want to check out some amazing stuff, check out the Crymod site, specifically the CE3 Art thread. Some of the stuff in there is phenomenal.
EDIT: To make it easier on you guys, here is the link to the Crymod CE3 art page: http://www...
How is whether or not the guns are fun to use anything but an opinion?
lol whatever, you're always getting games for free for being top contributor :)
It's around 50 at the moment for all platforms. Xbox 360 version is at 47 based on 41 critics with the highest score a 65 from Cynamite. Interestingly the user score is a bit higher at 57. PlayStation 3 version is rated slightly higher at 48/100 with the highest score again 65/100 this time from GamingXP. PS3 fans seem to like it more though, user score is a not completely terrible 67/100, but it is skewed by 2 10/10 reviews which are spam for some wholesaler...

That isnt quite how it worked, but your mostly right. Rare was never part of Free Radical or vis versa, but some of the key people on Timesplitters development left Rare to join Free Radical, and many of those guys remain now that Crytek owns them.
The shadows were much more realistic before. If you look at the shadows cast by trees, specifically their leaves you will see that they are very undefined and blurred, this is how vanilla Crysis 2 renders them. Indeed the higher from the ground the shadow casting leaves are the less defined the shadow will be. The reason for the blur is that the sun is not a point light source, as I'm sure you will you know.

If Japan don't like Kinect, what make you think China will"
Genghis just doesn't have the ability to click reply on somebodies post so that his comment actually makes sense.
Not in the traditional sense you can't. I suppose the reason people collect things is that it gives them a great deal of satisfaction. It's hard to get the same sense of satisfaction from a few icons on your screen as can be found from actually possessing something.
At the moment I buy about 50% of my PC games in physical form and 50% in digital form. I must admit to being somewhat materialistic in that I like to be able to look at my collection sitting on the shelf, it brings up good memories. However, I tend to only buy the best games (or at least the ones that I feel proud to own) in physical form, as digital is definetly more convenient, and it avoids the problem I now have with my PS3 collection (I'm close to running out of shelf space).

Apparently they have, as confirmed by the CryENGINE website's list of partners http://mycryengine.com/inde... . Seeing as NCsoft haven't announced any games to be using it so far, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it turns out that this one does use CE3.
I wonder how this will run on PC, 2033 is harder to run than Crysis and that looks a lot better than 2033 did. Good to see developers starting to push PC graphics forward once again.
BS mate, it 'only' takes a few hours to get to 2% complete, definetly not months.
I really don't understand how so many people such as yourself can't comprehend that this game is being made by a different studio than the ones making GW2 or Blade and Soul.
You know Crytek have 5 studios right? You should also know that if Crytek hadnt bought Free Radical they would have been closed down?
These are actually official Sony numbers...
Yeah, I love the 10 games currently available for it, really good effort from Sony there.
