How do you know its on rails? That was something that PS3 fanboys made up to stop Ryse from making Kinect credible.
Probably because your key question is wrong. You should be asking if it is possible to build a DX11 PC for $1000 at retail prices.
Why is this? Because the consoles wont be out until the end of next year. That means the price of your 1K PC who have dropped to $800-900. Then take into account that Sony and MIcrosoft will not be paying retail prices for their parts, not even nearly and you could be looking at $500-700. Then consider that both companies have shown they are wil...
Am I the only one who detected copious amounts of sarcasm dripping off that comment?
PS3 got some of the earlier updates before PC/Xbox so there goes that 'theory'.
Haha, that didn't happen to me thankfully. I just got stuck in a 2D tree that was obviously part of the background, then I died. There's a few odd bugs in this game, but damn is it good.
There was a few times during the game where I went straight through solid walls while climbing, similar to the video I attached.
I had a bug on floodtown, I was on a power line and I jumped and it flung me right off the game world, got a trophy out of it at least. Anyone else had this bug?
To say "You mean Duplicate?" is bad english, you should have said "Do you mean Duplicate?"
The definition of replayability isn't "able to keep you playing for a year"
I've bought the last three (WaW, MW2 and Black Ops), and I've enjoyed them heaps, and I don't really feel that they are getting too stale. I'm probably the only person in the world who reckons that Black Ops and MW2 are better than CoD 4 but thats alright, I know I'm right.
I'll be getting MW3 as I like what I have seen so far, but after that it depends what they are like. I'm happy to buy another 20 Call of Duties so long as they are progressive e...
Love the disagrees. What are you disagreeing to? What I said is 100% verifiable fact.
You people really have no idea do you. You know what Dice did that got Battlefield into the mainstream? They made Bad Company, and what platform did they abandon completely for that and the next game (1943)? You guessed it the PC.
So people get pissed at Crytek for going multiplat and still having a great looking PC version but perhaps one that didn't live up to expectations still. Dice on the other hand couldn't handle console development for the first time so they ...
I don't get the logic, if knocking scores on PS3 games increases hits, surely that would work for other platforms?
@ Paladinaz - I finished Brotherhood on Wednesday and then went and played inFamous 2, one of my first impressions of the game was that the climbing is less polished than Brotherhoods. Its faster yes, but definitely less polished.
Thanks, glad you liked the review.
I must admit I was never expecting a great game even before it got the mediocre reviews, City Interactive are a relatively small studio after all. But, some of the issues still present are unacceptable. Regardless, I'll probably still get the sequel as there is plenty of promise here.
Bad Company 2 was filled with campers around release but after a month or so they sorted out the balancing on the sniper rifles and people realised it doesn't help you win games so they started to play properly.
@ Below, there are definetly more campers in BF than CoD when I play. Not to sound arrogant but I am that good at throwing semtex in CoD that as soon as they get into position they are dead so it isn't worth their time.
I don't know why ...
Me too, I got it on PS3 the other day...
3 out of 5 of those issues plauge almost every shooter. The only ones more or less exclusive to CoD are the second chance perk and the knife distance.
Not a huge improvement, the grass still looks a bit crap but overall most things definetly look crisper, especially those pictures of the people on the board and the brick textures.
I don't understand why people take issue with CoD's map packs. The game already comes with more MP maps straight out of the box than any other game. Bad Company 2 had 4 or 5 maps, Medal of Honor had even less. CoD however comes out with atleast 12 maps straight out of the box.
Most people play CoD only for the MP, so effectively they are paying $60 for 12-14 maps. Thats roughly $5 a map. So what is the issue with paying $3 a map for some extra maps?
For one thing CoD does 5 maps per map pack. MW2 was 5 standard MP maps, Black Ops is 4 maps plus a zombie map. Don't know how that is 3 maps.
Thanks DICE, made for PC my @ss
