Honestly the distinction between the skill required to play each game is no where near what your making out.
It does load, you just get to watch a few hours of pre-rendered cutscenes instead of a loading screen.
Indeed, since when did people start playing games to watch a 2 hour movie worth of cutscenes?
Surely the biggest problem is that people have way too much health. I understand the desire to make sure the game isnt just a twitch shooter, but as it is like you say when you start shooting someone they just roll away.
Just a question, have you played Operation Metro 64 player conquest? I honestly can't think of a worse map I've ever played on in my life.
Its funny how peoples perceptions of GTA IV have changed over the years. After release there was a lot of people claiming it was utterly overhyped, mostly in retailiation to its ridiculously high metacritic score. Now though it seems that everyone has put that behind them and has refound that love for the game.
But even so, if there is only a GTA every 3 or 4 years then surely it has to well and truly dominate CoD in sales to be considered 'bigger'?
My choices would probably be a little bit off the norm, although I must admit I havent even played 5 of these games yet. These below are in order more or less.
Crysis 2
Modern Warfare 3*
L.A. Noire
Assassin's Creed: Revelations*
Red Faction: Armageddon
Infamous 2
Saint Row 3*
DiRT 3
Uncharted 3*
Batman Arkham City*
* Denotes game I haven't played yet
Stop trolling, the number of 8 year olds playing CoD would definetly be less than 0.5%, realistically probably less than 0.01% of the total population.
After being a BF fan since I was 10 with 1942, I actually hope CoD destroys BF3. I'm just sick of EA's shit every time they release a game. I can't even play the BF3 campaign because it crashes every time, and I frequently have it crash when loading multiplayer games. Today though I hit the last straw, "Game cannot connect to EA online backend" everytime I join a server. Its beyond a joke now and I want my money back, so EA will be getting an angry call from me tomorrow ...
Why would you want to do that. Honestly, playing 100% legit'ly my score per minute is about 510, which equates to 30600 points/hour, and I still get to have fun playing properly.
I've only ever pirated 2 games (excluding games that are no longer obtainable like PS1 era games or earlier), CoD 4 and Prototype both for PC. my reason for pirating CoD 4 was that I had previously owned the game but gave it to a friend, and I felt like playing the campaign again. It was just easier than getting it back off my friend. Prototype I never even ended up playing so it doesn't even really count.
One problem I have with PS3 games that would potentially lead ...
I must admit that in 2142 if things werent going my way I would occasionaly get in the pilot's seat of a chopper, wait for it to fill up and then fly to the edge of the map and then either nose diving or just taking it outside the map into the death zone. Was particularly devestating to a teams potential to win a game on Shuiba Taiba, damn that map was huge.
I would ammend 3 and 4 in particular.
Absolutely you should play to your class, but say you are coming down to your last few tickets in Rush and you are sniper, if the situation calls for you to get up close and personal then do it. Whether this means switch to your pistol or scavenge a more suited close range gun from a dead body. Often I see people sniping who refuse to get up and help disarm a charge which leads to an avoidable lose to the team.

Down here on planet earth, the reason that Batman on PS3 only has 33 reviews is because most publications only review the 360 version of the game, and so metacritic don't include these in the score. If you look at the 360 version of Batman it has 67 reviews and a score of 95. So does this mean metacritic are biased to PS3 or there are just more credible reviews of the 360 version? Ill give you a hint, it's the later.
Nice, but who is the little plastic man supposed to be? I don't remember him from any of the games so far. /s
As it is now I would give the game probably a 3/10 at best.
The main thing is that I am typically not the only one in my house to play a game online. Understandably you want to play on seperate accounts/soldiers. Obviously this cannot be done with BF3 because of EA's bad decisions. For that I would knock it down to a 5/10 even if it was a perfect game.
But it's not a perfect game. I cant even load the campaign past the first mission, it simply crashes...
Well I'm glad you couldn't be happier EA, but I would be much happier if I could actually load the campaign without it crashing literally every time. Honestly it crashed 5 times during loading the first level before I could play it at all. Got to the end of that level and then it crashed, now Ive tried to load the second level and also start a new campaign about 50 times each and it aimply crashes to black screen everytime.
I would be even happier still if it wouldn...
This happened in every BF to date, don't just blame CoD for peoples lack of a brain.
Alright well on the review, I think a lot of the reviewers (you?) problems with the game come down go their lack of understanding of how things work.
One point you make is that the walking speed is a bit slow. I mean are you serious? For one you are supposed to use speed mode to get around more quickly, and secondly if you don't want to drain nanosuit energy then wack it on armour mode and you can can still run without it draining energy. It isn't as fast as speed m...
