I guess it really depends on what next-gen consoles do. It would be surprising to me if they didn't go the way of PC where digital download accounts for probably the vast majority of game sales. Means we will be seeing some beefy harddrives in them finally.
No just some opinion on what the game makes you feel. Its just very brief. You list this as a con of MW3, so you must accept this as a con for the review, surely.
Played World at War on Veteran recently?
I have quite a lot to say in response here, so get comfortable.
3: I didn't say that 1 player has no impact in BF3, I said neglibile impact because he is perhaps only 1 in 32 players on his team. "its not just about your total kills" this is what I mean though. In CoD or any game with a small amount of players, a good player can more or less single handedly win a game. At the same time they can get a good k/d, put pressure on the people on the other team and jus...
If skill was really gone in cod then everyone's k/d would be very close to 1:1, surely?
I get the feeling the reviewer hasn't even played the game, barely any actual thoughts on the game in there.
Pretty much everything on this list is invalid.
1: New 5 hour campaign, 16 brand new maps, new mp game modes, specs ops survival, new spec ops missions is easily worthy of a new full priced retail game.
2: What does multiplayer DLC have to do with the campaign
3: CoD actually rewards "1337 skills' more than say Battlefield does. For example in BF someone can sit back with a mortar or one of those drone things and more of less ...
Grahpics really have come so far in such a short time haven't they.
Just fyi, it will be free from now on, this isn't a limited time offer.
That might be a bit of a premature judgement after all we've seen is a 1:30 trailer which doesn't include gameplay.
I really don't think any one game is going to push back new hardware.
The real test is how many people stick around and start actively buying stuff, but off to a good start as a F2P game.
You can talk, your comment makes barely any sense.
Picked this up the other day from Steam too, havent gotten to play it yet though.
A fad tends to come and go within the space of a year or 2, three at most. CoD is in its 4th year of sales domination and is still growing at any insane rate.
Its a sad state of affairs when all fans care about is the metacritic score...
Metacritic only add credible reviews to the score. Credible here meaning from a site with a well established history, community, and good quality reviewers.
Just look at the site, does it LOOK credible to you?
Not that I care about the game in the slightest, but that is one of the better reviews I've read in ages, keep up the good work.
WARNING! POOR TASTE JOKE BELOW!
Well, at least they will have an excuse for the stiff animations for once.
On a serious note though, that is a really cool thing for Gearbox to do, much respect for them.
I dunno, I'm on 40megabits/second (cable) up here on Brisbane with 230GB a month. It isn't unlimited, but its enough for me to download TV, about 10 games a month plus multiplayer gaming, and its pretty damn quick.
