I disagree, this game deserves its sales, because it's publishers had the brains to realise that although it had great potential it wasn't a great game, and as such they sold it at a lower price than your standard AAA game. This is an idea that needs to be adopted much more by studios selling sub-AAA or perhaps unusual/completely original games.
Publishers know from presale rates and other targeted research how well a game is going to be recieved and sell, yet too man...
Foliage still looks a bit shite and colours seem to lack depth, expecially in the shadows but the rest looks bloody amazing. Definetly needs some much more powerful anti aliasing though, not even sure if it is on in those shots to be honest.
EA really are hopeless arent they?
Who are you trying to kid? I too loved Crysis' multi player, but there where NEVER tons of people who played it, so I doubt there is today.
Anyone else feel they made Chloe a lot less hot in UC3? There's something wrong wither jaw and her hair is too thick.
I'm not sure I agree with you. The gaming industry is highly competitive, which means devs need to work really hard too be succesful, this is a good thing. If a studio can't hang with the big boys then they shouldn't be making big budget hardcore games.
It can't be that broken. I mean look at Crytek. It was founded by 3 brothers in 1999, has only released 4 games in that time, and yet they've expanded to 600 employees and 6 studious all the while remandi...
I was going to say that I couldnt see Crysis 2 being released on the next gen Xbox but then again there is no reason for it not to be. The PC version is already probably about where the next xbox will sit in terms of graphics, so they could perhaps do a straight port of C2 PC with DX11 to Xbox 3.
I don't think that is relevant. The only people working on Homefront 2 are Crytek UK, where as Crytek Frankfurt are working on Ryse and probably also Crysis 3.
The thing that you are forgetting/unaware of is that Crytek have 6 studios with over 600 employees. Another thing about Crytek is that they want every game they release to be the best game they have ever released.
Ridiculously smart move by Crytek. The benefit that Epic Games's engine business got from their parternship with MS on Gears of War was both obvious and huge. They are obviously trying to reap the same benefit from Xbox 3 for themselves.
Also this is interesting for a number or reasons. 1, it all but proves that the next Xbox will have a Kinect like device. 2, Suggests 2012 release of the next Xbox. 3, shows that Crytek are getting into tablet games as well.
It continues to amaze me just how out of touch DICE are with their fans.
I dont understand why people equate bigger maps with being obviously better. Same for vehicle gameplay. If those are two measures of quality, then surely Operation Flashpoint is one of the best games ever?
I wouldn't bother reading this article, its just a bunch of more or less baseless fear mongering.
Me too, I will be getting a Prime asap. Pretty poor that an Asus Tablet has support for PS3 controllers yet a Sony portable doesn't.
Google isn't though... Selective noticing of facts is what fanboys do best isn't it?
Its pretty bloody dodgy that JamieSI has the ability to approve his own subs. Isn't it supposed to be a community driven website where us, the users get to choose what gets approved?
You actually just didnt read it right. The drop from week 1 to week 2 was something like 60% from memory, the drop from week 2 to week 3 (this week) was another 40%, thus taking the the drop from week 1 to somewhere around the 70% mark.
Brunette is indeed quite satisfying...
UC3 definetly get best graphics because VGA's are retarded and didnt nominate Crysis 2 or Battlefield 3 which are the best looking games in existance...
Original score, don't even know why Portal 2 was nominated, definetly doesnt deserve it.
I can't help but feeling this game is well overrated. It doesn't do anythign wrong, it just isn't that fun...
Exactly, if you offer a relatively new experience that appeals to people, they will buy it.
