Really? The 360 and ps3 are two of the consoles in the loop but it's x1s fault? Use your head.
people are idiots when it comes to the ps4's power. they think its as good as a pc. but its not. its "marginally" more powerful than the xbox one. its not so powerful that multiplats have to be gimped for the ps4. if anything its just a pipeline constraint and all they have to do is lower the amount of pixels being rendered. if they have to gimp geometry, lighting or any other high math function stuff its not because of the x1. its because of the pipeline they chose to bu...
use your head and stop being an ignorant fanboy. it just makes you sound dumb.
yes... its the xbox one that gimped the ps4 version.... not the fact that the 360 and the ps3 are in the loop too. this has nothing to do with the xbox one as the xbox one was originally set to be 900p until the sdk. they didn't make the ps4 one 900p to match. what they are referring to is development/code based on asset density (poly counts etc) and best scenario cost distribution amongst the assets/code and how easy and how much work is involved to port across all platforms while kee...
@lukas
I'm sure that's a fair assessment. I didn't really have many friends that got invites so I probably didn't get to experience it at its best. I'm still going to check out the full version when it's released.
Meh. How come there's no "alpha" for farcry 4 or driveclub. Underwhelmed by destiny.
I'm not hating on it because of exclusive content. I've played it all weekend and I've come up with two conclusions. One. It's honestly kinda boring I think. Just my own feelings and maybe it gets better as you get deeper into it. Second thing, I don't think the graphics are mind blowing. The textures hold up really well at close range but other than that, there are plenty of games that are more visually impressive to me. Infamous and tomb raider to name a couple.
I dunno if I'm playing the same alpha that other people are. I keep reading how amazing this game is and how beautiful it looks but to me it doesn't look like anything special and honestly I think it's kinda boring
been playing the alpha today. its ok imo. maybe i need to get deeper into it. my mind isn't blown yet on any front yet (gameplay, graphical, other). i do like all of the character customizations tho. thats pretty cool. seems pretty solid for an alpha build as well.
In other news, a $16k corolla won't have the performance of a $90k Porsche any time soon either....
No shit pc's can be more powerful....
@gamer666
You basically just reiterated what I said.
but its multi platform. it will certainly sell, but people on the fence about which console to buy could still go either way with it... unless whatever bonus content is so amazing that its worth buying an entire system for. i'm assuming thats pretty rare for dlc. i think the ps4's system seller games will hit in 2015. just my opinion.
i don't really agree. its going to be on both systems and the same rez on both systems. besides a lot of people are saying the game is kind of boring.
i would say uncharted would be a system seller.
yup... that pretty much makes me want to trade up to the white one.
man i am really looking forward to this game.
dont say that here. any time i mention it i get disagreed off the page. i also tried to explain the differences of sim and arcade but people here don't want to hear that. all they want is 1080p/60 fps, really shiny and better than anything on xbox.
sincerely,
a discouraged sim racer fan.
looks great.
its the software, not the hardware. i'll get a million disagrees for saying this even tho i will clarify with a note that the ps4 is in fact more powerful BUT, hardware wise the systems are more similar than dissimilar. they both use an amd jaguar with slightly different configurations. the ps4 has 18 cu's but is only balanced for 14 (4 are basically for failure or contribute to cpu function not render function) and the xbox has 12 cu's which are clocked a little bit higher tha...
where would we be if we always focused on yesterday? life is full of lessons and we learn from them for now and the future. to do otherwise is just stubbornness or short sightedness.
as i have been saying for a while now. new SDK's and tools help squeeze more power out of the xbox and make it easier to develop for. just like how the ps3 had launch problems last gen. the ps4 isn't vastly more powerful than the x1 - its a bit more powerful. thats all. more and more games are going to be 1080p and 60 fps on xbox one and it isn't going to make ps4 games "gimped".
people don't seem to realize that game development cycles take longer...
