One reason, free online play. You just cannot beat that, even with a few extra textures on the multiplat game or the silly cross game chat. When I am playing COD4, I don't want to talk to somebody else playing another game. I want to talk to my team who is also playing COD4.
When Live is free, I will buy more multiplats on the 360 but until hen, exclusives only.
I too would rather have them as a supplement to my gaming and not the main attraction. I prefer sitting down and playing the games I do with a regular controller but would be open to a once and a while stint with a game that requires motion controllers.
Don't even go there! That would be mass devastation! Imagine that bundle and then a E for everyone bundle with Ratchet and Clank! There would be blood on the electronics store floor for those two bundles.
But not to the same degree of consumer acceptance that it is now. Ford did not make the first car but he made them a a mainstream product for the masses as did Ninty with the motion controls. They did not invent it but they have made it a social phenomenon.
Because so many "journalists" want to see Sony fail due to their superiority for the last ten plus years. Many would rather ignore the short comings of the 360 and point out the minuscule issues with the PS3 just for the sake of getting hits on their lousy sites. It's just the way things are here. There are issues with the 360, it's just too many "journalists" turn a blind eye.
I do have this game and love it. It's a great fill for my need of Diablo 3 at the moment. Titan Quest was great and now this. I just love this style game and am eager to get my hands on D3 and this will do until then.
- Thanks to Nintendo. Goes to show what two years and 50 million consoles later will do.
"PS3 fans have some fight in them this weekend. I guess the NPD shock is over YO! GOE!
gAgA"
"I forgot to ask what's owning a Wii have to do with the point of the article?"
If you recall, the pres makes a negative comment on gaming and how families and kids should play outside and together more often but then admits he owns a Wii. If he owns a Wii and makes negative comments about gaming in reference tot he Xbox, then I would say the ...
Especially since the "First Family" admittedly owns a Wii and not a 360. lol
I am going to puting together a new PC for Diablo III and might consider bumping up the time table to get it ready for this game. Otherwise it will be PS3 for me too. The PC version will look sick though, I have to admit.
An article that uses "logic" instead of fanboy hate! It's nice to see somebody actually look at the facts and not the silly arguments. Thanks to the author.
Kotick is a dork for saying what he said and I as well as many others find his comment completely asinine. Thanks to companies like EA, the PS3 will certainly have a great future.
I too am super excited about this announcement but to hype it up will only disappoint. I want to see each of those things but will run by the seat of my pants and say, I will wait and see.
I have over 20 days of time clocked in on COD4 and never have I had my thumbs hit each other when using the PS3 controller. This is a troll comment and needs to be reserved for the Open Zone.
And good for us gamers. inFAMOUS is the better game IMHO and while I rented Prototype, I purchased inFAMOUS for the sole purpose of replay and greatness. The game is a true gem.
On a side note, the troll level in this thread is amazing.
Sony has really stayed focused on their own issues, good or bad. You don't hear too often, Sony bashing the other console makers. Instead you hear them talk about how they plan to improve or how they are doing and what they are doing to make us consumers happy. That is the Sony I like to see. Last gen they got a bit arrogant but this gen they seem to be back on track and for that, I respect them.
I still cannot believe how well the PS2 is selling. Support for a console this old is amazing. The PSP is doing well and the sale of PS3 is higher this month than last. Good month for Sony.
And it would still suck compared to inFAMOUS. Sales do not make games great and great games do not always sell. Period.
Sony supports 3 systems, Nintendo supports 2 and MS supports 1. Taking a look at this, Nintendo and Sony certainly have their work cut out for them although the Wii certainly sells itself these days and the DS, man that thing is a beast. The PS line sells well but not great and I suspect that after a price cut we will see the PS3 in the top three from there on out.
Not bad overall considering the price points and the respective recesion that is hitting the US.
Because the number of PS3 bashing articles gets more and more. It seems to be the one hot button that sites use to help generate buzz and hits while the game news is sparse. It's interesting but pathetic at the same time.
