Numbers are down for all systems and it makes me wonder what will happen in the next couple months in terms of prices. Hopefully the upcoming line of games for each the PS3 and 360 will help spur console sales in Japan and get the ball rolling a bit better.
If MS did do some version of Home for themselves, would they still sell items through point transactions even though they charge for Live already? One of the nice things about Home is that it is free. Sony makes the money off of the micro-transactions keeping the app free to everyone. Would MS still charge for their items?
Especially considering that the 360 has some great games to offer and is also the cheapest console on the market and it still can't sell like the Wii. You would think that in time of recession a console as cheap as the 360 would be selling well or at least better than this. I'm not saying it is selling horribly but it is not selling like the Wii and yet it is the cheapest of the two.
Sorry, but comments like that are simply flame bait. Not needed at all.
As for the article in question... Does a bear crap in the woods?
The recent box art shows the title Call of Duty right above the Modern Warfare 2 title. So why is it funny that people think this is a COD game?
As for the MP gameplay... Can't wait to see it. This game will rule my PS3 for the next two years.
But to be honest, he is one of those guys that every so often turns around and shows us a down to earth yet highly intelligent persona. He is pretty cool if you ask me although I enjoy listening to Trenton more when it comes to keynote speeches.
If MS were to release a BD player add-on much like their earlier HD-DVD add-on, they would have to make it competitive with the current stand alone players and as we all know, making peripherals inexpensive is not Microsoft's strong point...
No, we will not be seeing a BD add-on.
Look forward to a price drop. Everybody knows it will drop in price and at that time you can score one for yourself.
Cannot wait to get my grubby paws on this one. I love the size of it and how much more pocket friendly it will be.
The of course the Wii owns. However, I require both sales and games and not just any games, games I like to play. That is what keeps the Wii down for me and at the moment, the lesser of the three consoles.
Standing at 6 foot 2 inches and weighing in at 188 pounds, I have always thought of myself as the husband to a wonderful wife, father of two that has a middle class paying job and plays games to relax kind of guy. Monster - nope.
Wake up soon? My guess is that MS and Nintendo will be quoting Isoroku Yamamoto when that happens...
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."
Your logic makes me happy. You are proof that there are still intelligent folks here. Anybody that agrees here is equally intelligent and those who post will get a bubble.
The PS3 has outsold both the Gamecube and original Xbox in its third year on the market? And yet we have articles like this still being written? It's just pathetic.
Nintendo is still Nintendo.
Sony is still Sony.
Microsoft is still Microsoft.
Fanboys are still idiots.
Water is still wet.
The only thing that has changed are the consoles.
I am still a gamer and love games. Some things will just never change.
Seriously?
What is it with fanboy journalists that articles like this actually get written and then followed? Articles like this are trash and make me giggle all the while shed a tear for the fact that our industry is tracked by silly people who write like 3rd graders.
Sorry, but these journalist babies need to simply STFU and move on. Let Sony deal witht heir console and let them drop the price when they are good and ready. They are in the business and not these crack-pot journalists so let's have the leaders in the business do their job.
It should have been the top 40 games... Missing out on VC, Wipeout and a few others makes me wanna cry.
Are they not going to have the time of day change during a 24 hour race? Is that true?
