Especially when articles like this are written and read and in some fashion, supported by readers. It's a darn shame that turds like this get accepted.
No, the PS2 is not hurting the PS3. Nothing is. It's fine. Now, wait until the price cut for the PS3 and then ask this belligerent question then.
This could be the next "Aliens". I certainly hope they don't cheese this one up and instead make it awesome and gritty realistic. I loved the game and would hate for anyone to ruin the feel of the game in a silly movie adaptation.
You are absolutely right. But when they did, it cost more than the consumer was willing to pay. For those of us willing to pay for all the extras Sony put into the PS3, we have BC in our consoles. For those who cried it was too much, well they are now crying that they are missing features. People can't always have their cake and eat it too. All I am saying is if more folks would have ponied up in the first place, articles like this would have never been written. Not trying to be rude, just tr...
Nope, and they should not have had to. People who complained about price got what they wanted and now those same folks are here complaining about no BC. Boo-hoo on them. Sorry, but I don't feel a bit sorry for people that don't have BC in their system. I bought the system when it had it and feel that I did my part to support Sony's efforts to bring us the best possible console they could. People wanted cheaper so they got it and to what? The expense of BC and now they pitch a fit about it. So...
If not then they can take their time but so can I when pinching a loaf. Sorry, but even some devs take their time polishing turds and get nowhere. Not to say that any game from the Alan Wake team is a turd but you get my point. Heck, the Haze team spent way too long on that turd so hopefully in this case their efforts are represented by a great game here.
Edit: So to the person(s) that disagree... You feel it is ok that developer takes years to produce a game that winds up bei...
And if it plays like Halo it will play good too. Halo has never been my cup of tea but each game in the series is always worth a rental for me.
Did you buy the PS3 when it was first released? No? Oh, I guess Backwards Compatibility was not that important then? People pitch a fit about it now that the PS3 does not have BC or at least is limited and yet they were not there to support it when it was inside in full.
I am glad that the 360 does ok by the way of BC and that my 60 gig PS3 is fully BC. I supported it when it was released. Too bad these complainers did not.
Man those guys are lucky. Wish I could have made it to the confrence.
What would Milo and Eye Pet do if you put two TV's face to face with Milo on one and Eye Pet on the other? Will they get along? Will the dark side of Milo come out or will the Eye Pet get all up in Milo's junk? Curious.
But in the fact sheet it says to watch your eye pet evolve over time... So maybe we're not supposed to feed it after midnight?
But we love our BD movies too!
In any other forum I would tend to agree that sarcasm could be thought of as a given but here at N4G, you have to be very clear or the fanbabies grab hold of it and run like wild. It's like crack to them.
Typically it is best to type in (/sarcasm) at the end of your post when you are in fact being sarcastic... You are being sarcastic... Right? I hope so 'cause it would ignorant to think that Finland's acceptance or lack thereof could be the death of any such format.
Still play that darn thing from time to time.
Must own. That trailer looks awesome!
Tears of JOY!
I want this game so bad it hurts. It's my greatest friend yet my worst enemy all at the same time.
I know it's dramatic but you have got to understand, I have never played a game as many times as I have Uncharted. 7 times through it and still love that game. This one is going to make me a happy camper.
Is Activision the new "EA"?
Dave's quote was also taken out of context. The discussion was about the core processor, the IBM PowerPC. We all know that the 360 and the PS3 share this common CPU but the difference is the architecture that the base CPU is compiled with. The CELL uses the SPU approach and has proven to be much faster and can crunch way more numbers than the architecture used int he architecture used int he 360. The CELL uses a synergistic approach to number crunching where the 360 processor does not.

And have been playing the originals on the GameCube recently. And to be honest, RE:Zero, Nemesis and the RE one remake are true to the series and are awesome. This RE5 stuff is crap. I even wonder why I loved RE4 so much. RE4 was good but it started the RE games down the wrong path. They need to get back to the scary stuff and less action shooting. Item management Capcom, that is where it is at.
Many of those that buy Gears and Resistance are not those complaining about innovation but love their games and their respective sequels. It's a small minority of very loud gamers that cry for innovation and it shows in sales whenever a dev steps out and makes something new and different. There are countless examples of this and if these guys in the article were truly abreast of the issue they would have already known this. Sounds like arrogance to me.
