All the same signs came to pass when DVD was released. I remember people saying how DVD was a fad and that nothing could ever replace VHS...
Guess the nay-sayers were wrong yet again. BD is on it's way to taking the crown, it's just a matter of time... A short amount of time.
Agreed. There is always some silly fanboy that needs to be the quick one to the threads to make their stupid comments. It's sad really, that folks like him actually post in the gamer zone. It would be nice if people like that with plant size IQ's would be stricken tot he open zone so we gamers could live without having to hear such silly dribble.
As for Braid, it is a great game and should be played by all. This way, those who do not own a 360 will get the chance to play it. It...
That in the last few Sony threads, the trolls have come to roost. I thought this was the gamer zone...
Starts off with two of the bigger Xbox 360 trolls. Yay for trolling...
*facepalm*
There is no damage control going on but rather a schooling for the Xbox fanboys that seem to jump on false articles full of FUD. The Xbox fanboys seem to neglect the facts and instead claim a win when the race is starting and nowhere near complete. The PS3 is in fact competing with the 360 and doing well, nearly neck and neck and yet the 360 fanboys seem to find reasons to cry fail. The only fail is in fanboyism, try being less of a fanboy and more of a fan of gaming.
Bubbles makes perfect sense if you take into account that you no longer play on the PSN...
But he can be a complete douche bag at times. He should just do the world a favor and STFU. He reminds me of that scientist in the movie Independence Day. That guy that claimed they didn't get out much, you know, the one with a serious social handicap.
Bingo. You took the words right out of my mouth.... or keyboard.
Start with the title: "Why the Gamer is Winning".
This console war crap is getting pretty old.
With the cost of the PS3 dropping and a sharp incline in Sony stock prices, you can bet that a PS3 slim is just around the corner. I know they shy away from insider trading but the signs are there and might as well be insider info. The signs are there folks, if you don't already, you might want to pick up a few shares of Sony stock. Once the PS3 slim hits, it will climb quite a few notches and you could easily make a profit.
My boy Darkrider? Please, grow up. All fanboys are douche bags. This thread just happens to be flooded with MS Fanboys spreading the FUD. When the Sony trolls break out in an Xbox thread, and have equally invalid points as the Xbox trolls do here, then I would be more than willing to say something about them there.
Fanboys need to learn a little math. A company that takes in nearly 80 billion USD a year taking a loss of 390 million... That's a drop in the bucket.
In business we have a thing called channel stuffing. In order to do that you need to over ship to retailers and/or ship to a warehouse owned by a third party. In other words, a company can stuff a channel by over supplying in preparation for the holiday or for reasons of posting up higher numbers in a financial report. MS has done it before, just take a look at when the 360 was first being sold.
Actually, I do play Crysis and Killzone over Halo. Not over COD, I play that too. Graphics and Game Play go hand in hand. One without the other is silly so to me they are both equal.
I'll have another reason to flex the twin GeForce GTX 275's I have in my rig.
Microsoft reports shipped. That way MS can claim any channel stuffing as numbers "sold". This is an old MS trick so to be honest, the .1 million is nothing to even speak of. And to those who disagree, prove me wrong.
Exactly. Sony averages about 79 billion dollars per year in fiscal earnings. Yes, that's dollars, not yen. The company alone is worth 230 billion USD and employs over 180,000 employees.
The company can take a hit and keep ticking. Too bad the FUD spreading fanboys here on the 360 side of things ignore the facts and run right for the bad news.
The last time I went into Home, the place was full of folks and in fact, in some spaces it was too crowded. It tkase forever in some cases to even play some of the mini games. It may not be my cup of tea but Home is certainly not a ghost town.
Whenever this type of story gets posted, the trolls come to roost. Sorry, but this information is of no consequence to me, you or anybody here that does not own stock in Sony. The games are all that matter and at the moment, Sony continues to produce great games for the PS3. Any of this financial BS is for the birds and investors. Fanboys are ridiculous.
It's so interesting to see how the hypocrites here are all in force. When there is negative Xbox news and the Sony trolls co...
I disagree with him because what he is saying is silly. Graphics and Game Play go hand in hand. Graphics in many cases will submerse the gamer in the story and in the case of games like Heavy Rain, realism is very important. Once the graphics get cartoonish or poorly coded, the game loses its realism. I'm not going to say that Graphics are better or more important than Game Play but I will say they both build on each other. And anybody IMHO that disagrees with that needs to hand in their game...
Being a gamer fromt he 80's, these kind of shots make me giddy. I run two GTX 275's in SLI and Crysis makes me cry some times with how awesome the graphics are. We certainly have come a long way.
