Last time around, IW didn't support their game much at all and to see them starting the support for MW2 this early is great.
It will be awesome. Each year, Sony has announced something that in some cases seemed underwhelming but turned out to be awesome. Look at MAG, it was not the biggest or best announcement last year but the game turned out to be great and it pushed the limits of online gaming for a console. You can bet that this year, Sony will be announcing something that will blow your mind. Pure and simple.
If this has been in developement for over 5 years then it better look as good or better than Killzone 2. In the end, the graphics need to look good but more than that, the game needs to play well. If it is short, looks average and handles "ok". then no, the 5 years was not worth it.
It is the best in the series IMHO and for anybody to pass it up is beyond my comprehension. If not for anything else, you have got to use this game as a current bench mark for showing people what next gen gaming is all about. The graphics, story and action this game offers are second to none.
If Jaffe is working on another Twisted Metal game, you can bet your bottom dollar that Sony has given him an unlimited budget. It's a make it franchise for the Sony console and they would not pass it up especially to have the original dev making it. If you want to define AAA, then just look at the support Sony offers to the devs making games for their biggest franchises.
I have not played this game on the PC or the 360 and have not encountered these glitches hardly at all. I strictly play HC-TDM only so maybe the glitchers stick to the core modes???
The AI has never been that good in SC so it was no surprise that it was not good in the demo here. As for the rest of the game, it will be a nice rental but other than that, it is a solid 7.5 - 8.0 IMHO.
Will be in the next couple years to come. And will more than likely like this one but that does not change the fact that all SC games have not had the besst controls and the controls are what make the game along side a good story. I am looking forward to bashing some baddies in the game but I would have liked to see them improve the typical SC controls.
Got hung up on corners, massive screen tearing and the controls overall were just wonky - like nearly every other SC game. I love the SC series but not a single game in the series deserves anything higher than an 8 average and this one, based off the demo is no different.
More than makes up for the small lead that the 360 has over the PS3 in North America each month.
