You may as well tell people to stop making shooters or RPGs because there are so many damn good ones out there.
'We don't need or want your take - we have enough as it is and they've been perfected'
Speak for yourself. I'm always interested in new takes on things. Yes, some turn out poorly, and "some" really is the key word, because some also turn out great.
If someone puts their unique twist on it, and it&...
Again, brother, I totally get your argument, but I think this is the wrong place for it.
This exec was addressing console 'power' specifically, and to bring software into the mix is to steer away from the point and meaning.
What he's referring to and speaking of, specifically, is console power which brings along with it many subcategories, but games is not one of them.
I will conclude by saying that Microsoft has been very l...
I hear you, but that's kind of like judging a blu ray player based on movies.
I'm talking about the console's general power, efficiency, etc.
I honestly don't think they're worried about power or a deficiency of power this time around. They have no reason to be. The specs are what they are and they're impressive.
As far as I can tell they have a slower SSD.
This is entirely different from the 2013 scenario where they had a significantly less powerful console with GPU resources being wasted on Kinect and other such nonsense.
No, the better games will be revealed with the games.
I guess I'm old fashioned but just give me a damn comfortable controller.
They both look like damn comfortable controllers. Symmetrical thumbsticks or offset thumbsticks - makes no difference to me.
Just be ergonomically sound with a reasonable battery life and I'm good.
I'm just going to leave this alone and enjoy the memories I had of the multi-disc PS1 original. I played the demo and was left feeling underwhelmed by blandness.
Some of me still wants to play it, but most of me doesn't.
Usually when people say that Sony are playing Chess with their silence (or in this case drip) I disagree. The piecemeal approach by Sony is creating excitement an anticipation for all things PS5. This is in direct contradiction to my previous stance of 'hurry the hell up', I admit.
The DualSense is a handsome, sleek, and stout controller. I would even say it's a maturation both functionally and aesthetically, of our current DualShock 4. It's less toy-like in...
"Now this looks like a midpoint between the Xbox One controller and the Dualshock 4."
I agree with this, actually.
@IRetrouk
I feel the same.
It's still very much a PlayStation controller but with the added Xbox-like beefy appearance. I agree that it retains that PlayStation motif - absolutely.
"difference between me and you is I don't go into xbox article's talking crap for no reason because I don't care about xbox but If see people saying BS I will call it out but hey"
The difference between you and I is that I'm straight shooting, straight talking objective observer while you're a particularly hostile and unabashed fanboy.
I'd rather be me.
Yeah.
How dare he not have read yesterday's article.
"We" are sad?
I don't know, dude. All that superfluous emoji usage in your other comment and the exaggerated ""Lmaoooo" in this comment doesn't indicate a cool, calm, or collected demeanor.
You're genuinely upset over a completely normal exchange. I think that's a little more sad.
@danny818
They are taking it way too seriously. You can feel the snark coming from the three upset posters who replied to you.
It's just a controller comparison - chill out. It's as if they're personally insulted by these comparison comments and it's just bonkers.
Why are people so upset when people point out that this new controller shares some aesthetic similarities with the bigger, wider Xbox One controller? It's entirely normal to compare the two.
This new DualSense controller is bigger and heftier than the DualShock 4 and looks closer to an Xbox controller than a PlayStation controller ever has.
Richard Leadbetter wasn't out of his mind when he said that it reminded him of the Xbox One controller, nor ...
@darth
And the DS3 was the biggest (and smallest) piece of junk controller I've ever had the displeasure of holding. Absolutely hated that pad.
Sweaty palms and being a kid.
Let's do it again.
@IRet
It's definitely not a big deal to me.
The first thing I do when I boot up a new game is turn off vibration as I absolutely hate it. I don't find it immersive - find it annoying.
That being said, what the DualSense is doing sounds much more complex and cool than mere vibration, so I'm more than willing to experiment with it and make good use of it if I enjoy it.
What I really look for in a controller ...
I'm very pleased with this controller.
I think it looks good, and I really like everything about it - looks like a very premium controller with a little more heft. Sony's getting better with the ergonomics in their controllers and it's great.
Now I really want to see the console.
@deep
He's going to play to the strength of the piece of plastic he's rooting for, ignore the attributes of the one he isn't, and argue disingenuously because that's what fanboys do.
"Redmond's entire focus has been around one stat. Teraflops."
That is sheer nonsense. Xbox fanboys may be making the teraflop argument, but Microsoft themselves aren't, nor are they harping on that one attribute. They'v...
