Some good clarification there.
Niiceeee.
Sounds great. Looking forward to seeing what devs have been able to pull off.

"Setting is similar, but we don't know the theme at all. I think your statement is premature. AC hasn't been about taking down gods like God of War has been."
That's an important bit of nuance and context there, and I agree. I doubt it's going to borrow heavily from God of War in story or gameplay, though I wouldn't at all be surprised if you fought some Norse gods, or if Valkyries were included in some way as they...
This is probably the most objective comment I've seen you utter.
It's anti-developer, especially when Microsoft pays them. /s
Vikings have been getting a lot of attention recently, and they should, because they have an interesting culture. Lots of wars and general belligerence make the viking world ideal for an AC game.
Nobody's copying Sony, and though God of War is my favorite PS4 game thus far, it was God of War (and Sony to some extent) that switched over to Norse because God of War was drying up and needed a kick of freshness.
Nobody's copying anyone though, and tha...
Agreed. Could be a little overwhelming and distracting with the sheer volume of repeatable activities peppered throughout the world.
They've had the time, so hopefully they've used that time well. I enjoyed Odyssey, but it could have used a little more variation in terms of activities.
I think it's a UE4 problem in general.
Honestly, you're the most tunnel-visioned gusher I've ever seen when it comes to this game. You'll move to strike down anything negative, even if it's warranted.
Don't you realize you're the saltiest individual here?
It's what the co-director said. They're just reporting on it.
What's the problem?
Work on those textures while you're at it.
I agree, and Decima has proven to be great for open-world games. The sequel deserves better than UE4.
TLOU 2 is a given for me, as is Ghost of Tsushima. I'd be very surprised if either game turned out genuinely bad. Cyberpunk as well.
Currently enjoying FF 7 remake.
They all pretend it's better than it is because they don't want to go against each other, and to some degree, Sony. Give em all a polygraph and see what happens.
Certain people generally aren't trustworthy because they're ideologues, but I don't think anyone 'has it out' for this game. If some people don't like it for certain reasons, that's fine.
I think it's a great game, but I don't think it's perfect. I'm finding certain in-game areas to be monotonous, while others are on point and more varied.
I'm glad I bought it, and I still have a way to go.
Whatever you think of IGN, they've been doing their thing since 96. They're established as you can get and they're still very popular despite some of the nonsense they've peddled, like the White Phosphorous nonsense.
Yeah man, they're still very popular.
I havent played these games since the original Xcom. Think I'll give this a shot.
Neat little game with great visuals, interesting weapons, and a very cool theme. Nothing groundbreaking in the gameplay dept, that's for sure, but it was a good little playthrough. I wasn't endeared to it at all, however.
Expand on it or leave it alone - don't care which.
