Oh yeah, definitely true.
Some people wanted it to stay Assassin-ey. I like the updated direction they're taking; more open-world action with some light RPG elements.
Hopefully they can the Abstergo/Animus stuff and really just focus on making a great viking experience.
He's never been grounded and professional, which is why I said he's annoying. He's a hype guy of the 'What's goin on everybody, it's your boy Aaron' variety.
He's pretty cringe and he's always been that way. I guess the higher ups don't mind.
Weren't Origins and Odyssey generally received well by fans and just over all? Some just complaints about Odyssey's structure (around MTs) but still well received.
I enjoyed em both - Valhalla will be no different.
So, we have two complete and utter fanboys duking it out at the top, and emotionally fueled disagrees about correct statements made elsewhere.
-slow clap-
Wait, they "set some wrong expectations."
You mislead people. Don't dance - be direct.
He's a mouthpiece for Xbox, and as such, I'd completely expect him to say something like that. He's not my favorite personality (actually a little annoying) but he's doing what he's paid to do.
I still can't believe that chicken sandwich hullabaloo not so long ago.
People were maiming each other.
That's how I feel. New material and some very intriguing. Same for the games confirmed for PS5. Quantum Error looks great.
I don't have the enthusiastic fervor of a child on Christmas, but I am a little excited for these consoles.
@phoenix
Yeah, I know, gameplay is preferred, but it's still just May. I'm not jumping up and down, but there are things I enjoyed.
We'll be seeing some things between here and then most likely. Still fairly early days. Honestly, I'm happy with the concepts I saw. I guess I'm easily sated.
Scorn seems narrative heavy, and I love narrative heavies. The shooter looked pretty damn nice, and I wouldn't at all be surp...
@GT
You're very aggressive.
@GT
I lose nothing.
I'm well set and I'm buying both consoles without reservation or hesitation.
Keep cool.
It's... May.
Corpses are usually cool or cold.
I know where they're getting it.
They're sitting on it.
Yeah but NewMonday does.
He sees all sorts of weird percentages too.
But I thought NewMonday was an expert with years of experience in the industry spanning multiple development teams.
This changes things.
Sounds great.
I can't wait for a substantial paradigm shift in game design. Things like masked loading, small hubs, and all manner of shortcomings we're dealing with now should be well rectified by developers.
CGI trailers are a mindset?
They're not ready to show gameplay yet, and that's okay. Again, what did we see prior to the release of the PS4 and Xbox One? Maybe Killzone? Ryse? Also, how many months was that footage shown prior to release?
If you're disappointed in the concepts you saw, that's understandable. Tastes. But you just look as if you 'want' to complain.
They don't, they're just not being genuine.
It's called being miserable.
You're no good at this.
@Neutral
I'm not trying to delegitimize anyone's complaint and I'm really not sure how you perceived it that way. I simply brought up the fact that despite issues, the two games were generally well received.
If people have problems with game design based on maximizing profits through MTs I am absolutely in their corner, but I'll disagree if they say they don't like the new action/adventure, RPG lite approach, because I personally do l...
