You could have made another argument for why you disliked Xbox, or why you prefer PlayStation, such as their history of varied and great game experiences that Xbox unarguably fell short of this generation.

Why should Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo indicate to, or inform customers that you can get third-party games on another platform? 'Why would they?' is perhaps a better question. They're omitting, strategically, the ability to play these titles on other platforms. They're competitors in business. Would it be the 'nice' thing to do? I suppose. Would it be somewhat dumb of them to do? I think so.

People irrationally defending Ubisoft for their offenses, I'm assuming, and not Ubisoft or their employees themselves. This is about people irrationally defending a company, which is why my earlier reply fits in.
This happens a lot here, and it's not only about Ubisoft - not by a long shot.
As others have stated, diminishing returns have started to kick in. It's not like NES to SNES, SNES to PS1, or PS2 to 360/PS3. Still, we should see marked improvement overall.
Now we're upgrading overall performance including frame rate, resolution, physics, particles, volumetric effects, throw in a little ray tracing, etc. I expect more small indie games to have better textures as well.
Lots of these factors depend on the artists/devs as they dic...
So, two new powerful and somewhat unique consoles. Sounds good to me. It's nice to hear they each have their own perks, because I definitely believe that to be true.
To be fair, we don't know if they're good games or not, but each of us know, individually, if the trailers provided themes we have or may have an interest in.
They could turn out terribly, but considering that I've seen cool, interesting trailers (my opinion) but no gameplay, I'll take the road of optimism and stay on that road unless something convinces me to change course.
I think it looks as good as any other modern racer, and it's quite detailed.
Why the "poor man's Forza" dig? Surely that wasn't necessary, even if the games look similar in some respects.

It's a thing that occurs around here far too frequently. I'm not spinning anything, I'm calling out a bad habit that occurs far too often. That is, irrational brand defense where people throw their body, mind and soul at the feet of a corporation, and their dignity out the window.

Agreed on all points. They should have just shown some gameplay as was told, but I did enjoy much of what I saw. Thought it was interesting.
There could be a number of reasons.
People may not like the poster (I think he's a swell guy and have no problem with him) or people may not like horror games. Also, they may simply not like the fact that he's excited about a game on an Xbox platform.

Oh man, same. Good horrors with good narratives. Honorable mention goes out to SOMA, and Observer. Though Observer may not have been standard horror, it had dark vibes.

People don't always take kindly to remasters, but if they remastered this game, I would absolutely buy it. I was so intensely into this game and its world when I was playing it.
The combat is awesome, the story is awesome, the detail and bosses are awesome. They've just got to make Bloodborne 2. Would be out of my chair if they announced this for PS5.
