*Sigh*

Why the concern you doubting Thomas'?

Has not Sony proven for almost 20 years, they don't abandon their hardware for several years.

1994 PS1 supported for 2-4 years beyond PS2
2000 PS2 supported for 3-6 years beyond PS3
2006 PS3 supported for ?-? years beyond PS4

*Based on Western Markets.

All Electronics Technology has extended cycles in developing markets, hence PS2's 12 year cycle.

We'll probably see the PS Vita as Sony's last dedicated portable console. As impressive as PS Vita is, and in spite of PS3/PS4 connectivity, there's no place for them in the (near-future) market place.

The Next Gen consoles acknowledge this fact, as PS4/Xbox Next will be multi-device ready/compatible. This makes dedicated portables pretty much redundant.

As for Nintendo, the 3DS currently sells well. But you get the feeling they will probably (st...

The Wii U may be 'Next Generation' within the Nintendo family of hardware, but to the rest of the developed World, Wii U is yesterdays technology.

The truth isn't always nice, but it's the truth never-the-less.

I can't understand why it's surprising to some. Since the Gamecube, Nintendo has repeated the same business model every generation.

Weak third party relations, and solely reliant on their own IP's to sell yesterdays technology to the die hard and curious.

How is it Nintendo are so successful with handhelds, but not with consoles?

Maintenance is crucial, but the updates are very slow and many users are unaware why they cannot access services...

Another reason 'Always On' is a terrible idea.

I don't like the name 'Fusion' either...In the UK there are Razor Blades named Fusion....

Typical 90's style name...oh well, it won't change how games play so at least that's someting....

A waste of cyberspace, completely pointless.

Facts, Rumours, Rampant Speculation...Ahhh get over it already!

The dang event is just 18 days away!!

How many more 'IS IT or ISN'T IT' articles do we need??

Sony have really got it right this time...I have yet to read any rumours of delays, software concerns and programming issues regarding PS4.

I don't care if Watchdogs is totally online if that is how it is designed to be. This game is no indication of next gen 'always online' concerns.

Most people I know have never played Single Player COD/BF or KZ, and only play the Multi Player all the time. Most discard a game for the improved sequel any ways, s...

Yeah Ok, but I was referring to the "many journalists" @CVG specifically where it was said the PS3 version had zero pop in during their demo.

At no time at all did I mention another site but for CVG.

I have not read nor seen any other previews that you're referring to. Maybe the pop in and draw distance you read or heard about was a non PS3 version, earlier code or whatever?

Perhaps you could name these sites where you have read...

Okay, that part of my comment was made with ignorance, thank you for putting me straight...but the article was about MGS5 on 360...

But thanks anyway :)

Apparently, many journalists have had 30 minutes GTA 5 game play demoed and many have said the water physics are phenomenal and R* have completely eliminated pop-in and draw distance issues.

It takes approx 3 - 6 seconds (depending where characters are on the map) to switch characters via a google earth type system.

There is a full eco-system of wildlife and the NPC's are uniquely different, unlike the repeat NPC's of previous games.

GT6 should be the complete version with noticeable improvements. The engine and physics was done in GT5, so technically the groundwork is in place...

However, I can't help feeling GT6 would have been better served on PS4, and at least 1 year after Driveclub.

You can see how unprofessional and ill-informed some of these so-called Journo's are....

A real Writer/Journalist would have done some homework/research to find Microsoft have stated Illumiroom will not make the next gen Xbox.

THIS IS FUTURE TECH @CONCEPT STAGE...

If they can't even get the simple facts right, why should anyone take their site seriously?

Another example of LAZY LAZY game journalism...A terrible piece....

I think 360 can handle MGS4, at least the game engine side of things. It's the loooooong cutscenes that DVD9 cannot contain. I don't think Kojima likes the idea of a multi-disc edition.

But what about a download version for those who can spare the 50GB of HDD space available. It's not impossible since I have Downloaded Mass Effect 3 off the PSN and that game was like 14GB, but you were required to have a minimum 30GB to D/L it, as that is the (strange) way PSN wor...

Maybe because Sony had produced 3x what MS 1st party studios did in the same period that Xbox 360 games sold more since the pickings were slimmer.

Quality wins each time....At least Sony are consistent with their portfolio.
