Sorry to report it, but there was a lot more to Flower beyond pretty graphics. Notice how there's no other game in existence that plays like it? I can't say that for half of the titles on this man's list. The game was produced through the theory of iterative game design and the result was one of the most monumental achievements this industry can show for under $10.
To say the least, I'd highly recommend giving Flower a try. There aren't many games that can...
Flower is not on the list.
The list is worthless.
Exactly my thoughts
ahaha I noticed this the minute I had it installed
I think it really was not their call.
Usually, the platforms you develop for becomes the choice of the publisher. When they signed with Microsoft, it meant the game could only appear on Xbox/Windows.
Then with PC piracy statistics taken from Gears of War and considering how Xbox had no exclusives for Q2 2010, Alan Wake had the Windows version axed.
Yeah we already know its because Xbox 360 had no exclusives for the season. Was obvious back then, even more obvious now.
correction: its called "Ascension of the Metatron"
Metatron, like Zone of the Enders.
Not Metreon like in San Francisco.
Anyway I'm eagerly anticipating the NA release date.
Well we knew Xbox 360 was lead for Bayonetta. Look how that turned out.
When PlatinumGames were making their next title, they told us they learned from the mistake and were leading on PS3.
That game was called Vanquish and the PS3 version looked great.
So why is this so hard to believe?
aha damn you're right! I knew it was missing some; I just couldn't pin them down. So tired right now.
Aside from a bunch of PSN titles I think that's mostly everything.
Marvelous.
Microsoft can sustain the platform's momentum for a while with Kinect, but core gamers should seriously reflect on why they bought the console they use today.
Consider why you did it in 2007 or 2008.
Now consider again prospectively for the future, here in 2011.
I think asking these questions could lead to certain people being much happier as the coming months pass.
In all of Crytek's CryENGINE3 demos from last year, the 2 console versions looked damn-near the same. I don't understand what has changed since then. Shouldn't the technology get better instead of worse?
Same as what? The person who wrote the IGN impressions said he had played both the PC and Xbox versions and based his opinion on knowing what they looked like.
"The PS3 version will be excellent, almost certainly the best console version available." - Cevat Yerli, Crytek president
so now we have a statement from Crytek's head stating the exact OPPOSITE of what IGN claims.
Wouldn't have even considered buying this for a console but wow. And Crytek said the PS3/360 versions would be equal. They even showed tech demos to prove it. So what happened?
Ugh. I get so sick of this. It's 2011. Give me a fucking break.
Examiner? While I dislike their site (mainly the cumbersome, archaic image gallery system), there are no popups or spam.
A bit late for a preview. Reviews are already coming in.
If you actually dig deep in that source, the 4.5m figure came from "Sales through the end of the year". Still unlikely but infinitely more feasible.
Of course 4.5m in one week is absurd. Few games have that kind of pull, and certainly no fresh IP ever has.
But GT3 was often bundled with PS2 hardware around 2001-2002. It was one of the system's first killer apps.
GT5 probably won't hit such strides until Sony does the same.
