You can buy a $20 gamepad you know, or if you are real serious buy a usb NES controller online. The games that i play on emulators are games that I owned (and some I still have but no system to play them on) and i really don't think i should have to pay for games that came out 15+ years ago and give money to a group of people that didn't make the original game in the first place. If they remade the games THEN I would have an incentive for buying said games.
Actually, would you mind listing a few more games that were good? Every time someone tries to defend the wii they list the same exact games you just listed. And whats worse, for every good game that comes out on the wii, hundreds of crappy 3rd party games follow. Meanwhile, I'm having trouble dividing time between the ton of GOOD games that have come out these past few months on the other consoles (specifically PS3 and PC cuz I don't use my 360 much anymore).
If I hadn't bought Guitar H...
Its funny that the old school gamers keep saying that they've waited so long for the Wii's virtual console. If you want to play old school games, simply play them on your PC with emulators!
I remember when i was a kid i always had to play games on the lowest settings and i hated it. Now I finally built my own rig and am loving being able to max everything. Occasionally I will come across a game that requires me to tone down the settings to get good frame rates, but for me thats fine. Sure it feels good to know we can run something at highest settings but as long as it runs smoothly, looks decent enough, and is fun, I won't complain.
" It enables gamers to access and play more than 27,000 game titles available for the PC and through the Internet on a television or home theater system."
Um, we've been able to do this long b4 this product ever came out. Yeah, im just gonna label this one a fail.
Ok list but I believe the PS2 should be there instead of the 360. Sure the 360 brought better features to the table, but people can't compare the 2 consoles since the 360 came out 5 full years after the PS2. The 360 still uses dvds (which started on the ps2), XBL simply improved on a service that had been around on consoles since the Dreamcast, and to this day some games can't even hit 720p resolutions (lookin at you MW2). Also, the ps2's massively successful sales and reliability easily loom...
I remember in a past issue of PC gamer they said the PC version would have prone. They said they didn't include it in the console version because the lack of AA allowed snipers to be almost invisible while prone. So, since the PC version will obviously have higher resolutions and AA, they were able to include it.
ps3 got the beta, but PC and 360 will get a demo soon. Idk if it'll include the same things as the ps3 beta or if will be a new map, mode, etc... Anyone know?
Anyone else dizzy after watching this?
agreed.
Sweet! I'm midway through my second playthrough and am exploring different things i didn't choose the first time around. Btw, I haven't had any loading/glitching problems on the PC version. I wonder how much DLC this game will receive cuz the current DLC thats available is, while very good, rather short imo.
Oooo can't wait! should keep me at bay till the game comes out.
lol funny article, but people who are freaking out about it need to chill out.
Well there was another article on this site a few days ago explaining that not only is Bluray on par with DVDs back in the day in terms of how fast they dropped in price, but Bluray is actually a little cheaper than DVD players would have been at it's respective year. So according to this article people will need to buy new players? that kinda sucks.
I'm scared to wonder how much one of these puppies is gonna cost though...
The only thing this comparison shows is how ugly the game looks in general.
I did not for a second think this was CG. I thought it was pretty clear to everyone that this was the actual engine running. I wont deny that it looks better than halo 3...but with every Halo fan saying that Reach was going to be mind blowing and then coming out with this... well, my statement stands: i wasn't impressed.
Idk, i would have rearranged that list a lot and swapped some out for others, but thats just me.
guilty as charged hehe. The only problem is that this game doesn't need a face lift, it needs a programming revamp to make it run better! Crysis runs better on my rig than GTA4 :\
Man, I'm really interested as to what direction they take this expansion. There are so many things that need explaining or were left unanswered.
