playing it right now and its pretty damn good. Its amazing how fast the courses load.
While you make a good point, you need to realize that this isn't Spiderman. While the suit in Crysis kicks ass, i doubt it can be used to leap buildings, etc. I hope they do not add super crazy new features to the suit like running up the side of buildings like in Prototype... that would just kill the realism. So yeah, i wouldn't be surprised it if was more of a corridor shooter.
Yea, game designers should consider other cities. There are plenty of big, memorable cities with plenty of landmarks that they can use.
From the screens I'v seen of this game, it looks pretty damn good. And the relatively low specs make it even more impressive. This is the first game that has motivated me to buy a DX 11 card but it doesn't seem like its necessary just yet.
As Tony P stated above, this game technically has no sex at all. There isn't even any nudity! just 2 people in gray underwear rubbin up on each other lol.
You think the media is out to get your kids yet you're online posting on video game articles. Ironic.
Btw, back in the day they used cartoons to advertise cigarettes and EVERY cartoon back then was about violence (remember Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, etc) so don't act like things nowadays are suddenly worse.
Ugh, it was terrible imo. Flying with the mouse was very frustrating. Other than the flying, this game in general seems very generic and dated.
This thing is horrifying....
finally, upgradeable laptops!
yea the betas for this has been out for a while. I havn't played it in a good 2 years tho so I'm interested to see what they have added. It was pretty fun, just needed more polish.
You should have gotten 64 bit.
Omg so many good games coming out these next 3 months! hopefully this demo comes out soon, and on PC.
Everyone thinks that people are goin to be pissed that new 3d hdtvs will be out...as if households only have ONE tv at home. I only have one hdtv and 2 sdtvs so i wont be pissed at all when i have to replace them with 3d hdtv sets.
The PC beta will be released January 28th. But, they said it was only for those who pre-ordered the game. http://n4g.com/pc/News-4549...
good thing i ordered mine 2 months ago :)
Hmm i pre-ordered it from Amazon a while ago but this still kinda sucks for those who haven't. Instead of exclusively giving betas and demos to those who already pre-ordered the game, they should keep it open and include everyone that is on the fence about buying the game so it convinces them to buy it. Idk, it just makes no sense on the business side of things.
You guys need to read the article. The guy said it was "getting there", meaning he admits BF:BC2 doesn't look as good as Uncharted 2. Also, he mentions why BF would never look as good as Uncharted, the maps are WAY bigger. Also, full destructibility also hinders that possibility. Oh and remember, BF is a multi plat game so its not gonna have the same amount of polish that an exclusive would have. At least DICE is trying to push themselves and produce a better looking game, unlike ot...
what type of communication are the other tv manufacturers using for their 3D glasses? And what are the benefits of using bluetooth? better battery life i assume?
I bought a gaming laptop almost 2 years ago and I can safely say it was not worth paying so much for it. Sure it was capable of running good games on it, but then i realized how little i was actually using it for gaming. This is a cool little netbook, but kinda overkill if you ask me. But hey, its Alienware, thats what they do.
I believe PCs and consoles each have their benefits and drawbacks. PCs perform much better and are capable of higher resolution and frame rates. The best way to play FPS, RTS, and RPGs is with a mouse and keyboard. Modding also adds infinite re-playability for many games.
The drawbacks are that, as someone stated above, you do have to pay more upfront if you are building a new rig, but it easily provides awesome value since it's, obviously, its a computer.

Well this tech should allow for more detail in cities. It also helps lower graphics cards by giving less work-load.
