Check out the site you recommended. 1UK pound = AUD$2, not 3! lol

I import most of my games and get new releases for around A$60 including shipping.

In fact just picked up Fallout 3 for a sweet 50! :D

Just play Warhawk on PSN or Left 4 Dead on 360... If the server's in the US and you're in Australia you're still back at square one.

The real problem, like the article points out, is the inability to search for matchmaking and hosts in your local region.

I gave up a long time ago so invested extra in better broadband for when I do multi and simply play more single player titles or local co-op. ;)

Lets hope the product meets the vision! :)

yeah i put a lot of hrs into the first game... was a bit inaccessible at first with a crazy ass control system, but once you naailed that the gameplay and strategy was frickin awesome.

Special mention to the submarine missions! :D

Can't wait to kick the Yanks ass, by winning the war as the Japanese and I hope invading your country in the process Oz! lol

I agree with you gaminoz but Oz I think any good reviewer needs to consider a game in light of other games, otherwise the score (merely a relative measure) is pointless!

I get what you're trying to say is that some reviewers are better than others. But that's not because they review games as islands, that's because they review them in light of comparable games BUT then they weight it accordingly depending on the pros and cons of an individual game and what its target audience i...

Last time I checked quality gameplay, story, graphics, etc, are not exclusive to any particular genre, however, their importance may differ.

If I walk into a store and I look at Wheelman and GTAIV, I'm going to compare their relative merits and make a decision.

Exactly as reviewers should!

A 2/10 just sank EA's Battleship.

It's hard to comment when one person decides to spend a whole page preaching and lecturing users about why they should comment and as a result scares those very users them off!

Maybe you'd be better writing an article about it. ;)

Honestly, there are more substantial "articles" in the user comments and with better editing no less!

I wonder why I left this place... :/

Oh man I don't need a video... just go on late at night and there's ghetto tryhards everywhere.

Although I'm an absolute sucker for some Battleship. :)

Guess it'll keep the kids happy though!

Although the occassionally drugged out or drunk American continues to be entertaining in late night sessions. And all for just 400 points!

Yeah I don't understand why some people think it'll just be in Venice!

Just like the first game there's sure to be multiple cities, which if Ubi know what they're doing should include obviously:

Rome for some Papal assassinations and Roman dealings.
Florence (Tuscany) for the Medici palaces and gardens.
Turin for the baroque architecture of the palaces and churches.
Milan for the massive marble Duomo.

Naples, Bologna, Genoa, Perugia an...

I love that Ubisoft is exploring periods rarely seen in video games.

I'd love to see Bologna in it as well with its ancient university and crazy ass towers that make Pisa look like a baby. Although thats's a self centred choice given part of my family originates from there! hehe

I think young people in general find it difficult to interpret anything beyond black and white terms, and many missed (including my younger brothers) the power of the subtext and anti-war message in games like COD4. I think for them its purely entertainment and escapism.

But that's also a reflection of an industry that hasn't really got to a level of maturity to be critical of such stuff in an explicit manner. Perhaps Fallujah will be different, but then that would presumably b...

I didn't think that the article was spam, rather that it made unproven claims, namely...

"This is proving how much Microsoft is screwing up plans by throwing money around instead of letting the gaming world evolve"

AND

"Which is fine, but the part that puzzles me is paying for a “Timed Exclusive”."

We don't know this, and whilst we can all assume the worst, the reality is that Square is a company in trouble an...

Agreed, that C130 level and the fallout scene after the Nuke goes off in COD4 still resonate with me deeply.

Maybe 6 Days in Fallujah could be one of the first of gaming's Dr Strangloves anti-war games, where entertainment has a far deeper impact on the pysche and hopefully enourages the younger generations that war really is hell and it should be an absolute last resort.

this comment got me:

"Being Anonymous is more than a lack of information on a person, its the feeling the person gets with giving his views in a place that couldn't really endanger them."

Since when should having a view endanger a person in a western country?

That just highlights the ridiculousness of the situation.

The only time one should feel threatened is when they threaten another, which funnily enough is the reserve o...
