Japan loves gimmicks though, so it's not surprising.
Leave it to Trollingbolt to write nonsensical articles like this one, what a terrible website. Don't give them the clicks.
Me too, I would never have bought one due to Nintendo's lame eShop, anti-consumer policies, and overpriced games, but if I can just pay for the system by itself and not worry about all that, it might be fun to play around with.
Totally embarrassing. Cheap cardboard junk.
Labo is yet another poor gimmick from a company well known for them. And the only thing it proves is that their loyal customers would buy a turd-in-a-box shaped like Mario, if they sold one. Very sad.
This game was ruined by the gimmick that requires "drawing shapes on the screen with a stylus" (or even using the analog controller), what a terrible idea. It sold very poorly for this reason as well (and of course because it was on the Wii U). If they do port it over to the Switch or make a sequel, they need to dump the lame drawing gimmick, it's a poorly thought out idea.
Yep, it's really quite embarrassing.
@chrish1990 - Enjoy trolling? I think the mods here need to give you a short vacation.
More cheap gimmicky junk from Nintendo, embarrassing stuff indeed. The fact that people are actually getting excited about flimsy pieces of cardboard is just sad.
It's absolutely embarrassing that anyone could get excited about some cheap pieces of cardboard that are put together to make a shoddy object. Nintendo is a purveyor of cheap gimmicks, and have been for well over a decade. Anyone who would actually pay money for some scraps of cardboard should rethink their hobby.
Unfortunately the second screen on the DS and 3DS proved to be nothing more than a distracting gimmick, one which drained the battery, increased the bulk of the handheld, and offered very little in terms of game play. If it was such a great idea, why doesn't the Switch have two screens? The simple answer is that the 2nd screen proved to be a poorly thought out gimmick, no one cared about having it and now it's been discarded on the scrap heap of Nintendo gimmicks. It was a waste of re...
"Interesting cardboard thing"
If you're referring to Nintendo Labo, it's another example of the kind of cheap gimmicks for which this company is well known. Hard to believe anyone could get excited about such cheap junk.
Immortal Redneck is a fantastic game, I'm having a blast with it. A lot like the original Serious Sam games, but with some great new elements (scrolls, skill tree, many different weapons). I have it on PS4 and it runs great. II'll probably get it for XB1 too.
Totally agree, I've been playing this since release on the PS4, and it's fantastic. Great old school FPS, lots of influence from Serious Sam.
Wow that's really embarrassing.
I really wanted to like Strafe, because I love old school FPS games. Sadly the controls felt absolutely awful; either way too sluggish, or way too sensitive, despite the ability to adjust sensitivity. Tried very hard to adjust the options to make it better, but I was never able to make it playable. For a much better experience, try Immortal Redneck (out for both the PS4 and XBox One), it controls great and is an excellent Serious Sam style of FPS.
Another lame article from Trolling bolt, just don't give them the clicks they are so desperately looking for.
Too bad Labo is nothing more than cheap cardboard junk that will fall apart in short order. Just another poor gimmick from a company well known for them.
