@Slaughter - You completely missed my point. The GameCube came out 1.5 years later than the PS2, so Nintendo had plenty of time to improve it's specs over the PS2. Meanwhile the OG Xbox came out at the same time as the GameCube, and was superior to it. As usual, Nintendo cheaps out on their gaming hardware, just look at the crappy little mini CDs they used as an example.
No one cares about old Atari games, that's a terrible idea.
This reads like PR press release garbage, i seriously doubt that demand for this vaporware system has been "incredible". Seems like a scam to me.
Totally agree. All this talk about who "won" or who "lost" is juvenile and immature.
Gamecube was released in November 2001. PS2 was released in March 2000. Also the original Xbox was released in November 2001 and was far superior to the Gamecube.
Apparently you don't understand timelines well, go back to school.
Yet another game not coming to the Switch due to its poor specs, no surprise. Just like every Nintendo console since (and including) the Gamecube.
Why no one cares about your biased opinion: it's Forbes, one of the lamest sites for gaming "opinions".
Why would I try yet another ridiculous Mario Tennis game? I have zero interest in the series and find it to be a joke.
Trollingbolt strikes again with another poor article. Don't give them the clicks.
What a poor excuse, the Switch is a handheld, the game should run best in that mode. Stop with the damage control.
Switch can't run the game well enough to make it worthwhile. Would be badly watered down.
Another mediocre Mario Tennis game, waste of time. The last few weren't very good either.
Please put "UK" or "EU" in your posting to let people who are in other regions know what you are writing about.
Next time please put "UK" or "EU" in the title of your posting, it only takes a second and helps for people not in your region.
Wow, the Switch can't even run a game at the level of the ancient, inadequate Wii U? Nintendo really should have put, more effort into the design of the Switch, they once again cut too many corners and left the system severely lacking.
No, they didn't "do really well", just focused on a rehashed Smash game and not much else. Amazing how diehards will try to spin anything to make them look better.
Nintendo really doesn't know how to support online gaming, this article is making poor excuses for their complete refusal to carry over VC purchases from previous consoles.
"How Nintendo Handles Backlash From Fans": They just ignore their fans and do their own thing, which is usually not what people want.
Even if you're a fan of Smash, it's been done to death, nothing new going on there. Boring.
Nintendo has always targeted younger gamers, who prefer bright cartoony games and don't mind when specs fall short of the competition. Their problem has always been that they don't target mature gamers, and that really hasn't changed much.
