Nintendo is very greedy and stingy when it comes to putting games and hardware on sale, they only care about getting the most possible money out of their diehard fans.
I may get a Switch just to hack and play pirated/emulated/homebrew games, although I wouldn't pay a penny more than $200 for the handheld. Just not worth more than that for the hardware specs included.

Since the fake 3D on the 3DS was awful and damaging to eyesight, and most people just turned it off, that's never going to happen. 3D on the 3DS was a terrible gimmick that ruined the system, nothing more.
