History will judge it the same as the original Wii; an underpowered, feature-lacking, low-spec console gimped by a poorly thought out gimmick. A system with a very small library of mostly mediocre games. And as the years go by, the gamepads associated with many Wii U consoles will fail, turning the systems into useless bricks. If I owned a Wii U, I'd be really worried about not having easy access to reasonable priced replacement gamepads. Terrible system design.
@Hoffman - You nailed it. Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Revenge are by far the best games in the series. Paradise was OK, but not nearly as good as 3 and 4.
They didn't even release the full game on disc, just a stripped down version missing a huge amount of content. No thanks.
Can you tell us how it was "busted"? I've been interested in the game, but waiting for a sale on it.
Except they never got most of those "clicks", since most people here know that Gamingbolt is a Troll site.
But the whole point of the Switch is that it let's Nintendo put all development efforts into a single platform, instead of trying to split development between two different platforms. You're not going to see a "new dedicated handheld" from Nintendo anytime in the near (or far) future, Nintendo just doesn't have the resources to support two platforms. You can wait all you want, but it isn't going to happen.
More anti-Sony trash blogs from the garbage Gamingbolt site and Rashid Sayed. Don't waste your time clicking on this trash, you're just supporting a worthless blog site.
You mean Gamingbolt's spammy anti-Sony trash opinions? Those have been "beginning" for a long time now. Nothing new here, just more garbage biased opinions from Lamingbolt.
Or alternatively, the Nintendo Switch could be the console for only the diehard Nintendo fans. There's no reason to believe that the Switch will be able to compete with the established home consoles like the PS4 and XB1. As a handheld, it certainly has some potential, and is of interest to people who love handhelds (like me). Unfortunately, dedicated handhelds seem to be a dying industry, due to the rise of cellphones and tablets. So unless the "console" functionality of the Sw...
@feraldrgn - You're not serious? The Switch is a "new dedicated handheld", why would Nintendo announce another, different one?
"will only buy the switch if its specs are comparable to Xbox One/OG PS4."
They won't be. Only 4gb of RAM assures that.
Typical Nintendo, always going cheap.
Nintendo's consoles and handhelds are never worth the high price they are demanding for them. Their philosophy is to build the cheapest possible hardware (to save the absolute maximum on manufacturing costs), then throw in a gimmick to try to reel people in. They don't care to deliver the best possible product for the money gamers spend, they only care about profits.
Somehow your post sounds a lot more "insecure", complete with your nervous "Haha" laugh at the end. Amirite?
"Butthurt" by a nonexistent, fantasy product? Not in the least. I just recognize a sleazy attempt to minimize the success of the Pro, that's it.
This is Nintendo we're talking about, none of that is ever going to happen.
"Most PC gamers generally favor Nintendo consoles for being a unique gaming experience rather than the mid-lower quality experience that Sony/Microsoft have been offering since 7th-gen consoles."
Then there must not be very many PC gamers, because the Wii U failed miserably. I think you really have no clue what "most PC gamers" favor, and are just making things up.
"Project Scorpio" is nothing more than a desperate fantasy concocted by Microsoft, in a futile effort to divert attention away from the PS4 Pro. Judging by the great sales of the Pro at its release, the trick failed miserably.
Meanwhile, the "Scorpio" still doesn't exist other than some fantasy specs on paper. What a joke.
I'd certainly agree that the gamepad controller was an expensive peripheral for the Wii U. Unfortunately, the actual console itself was indeed very low-spec and lacking commonly expected features for consoles of its generation. So what I said about their approach still stands, they delivered the cheapest possible hardware, lacking in many features and fairly poor in specs. And the gamepad really never proved its worth, becoming more of a distraction than a genuinely useful peripheral for ...
Good article, but they really need more than 10 slots for their list. Star Fox Zero, Kirby's Rainbow Curse, Mario Party, and Mario Tennis all belong on a "worst of" Wii U list, among others.
