The video looks edited before release. Whenever the player goes into the menu, the screen is scrambled.
I wonder Peter finally decided to keep things to himself, and not spoil that much this time...
N4G reported these download before, however it's good to have a reminder.
It's normal to have many accounts. I have something called "friends", and keep a separate profile for them.
On the topic: I cannot believe he's still pushing the matter. Especially after the second video popped up.
It will be a menu option under extras. That's mentioned in the interview.
So you can get your game used (although prices will probably hike during that period).
I'm still waiting to be invited in one of these "waves". StarCraft was (and still is) a good game, and I can't be excited enough about getting the continuation of the story.
It did not completely fit onto disc, or was not completely ready at game release date, and now coming with a (hopefully) free update.
Hope square-enix learns from this, and releases that "cut 50%" from FFXIII in some form (again preferably free).
I've been using 7-zip instead of WinRAR for a long time now. Unlike WinRAR, this one is free.
There goes my bubbles, but finally an exclusive which will not come to other platforms.
MS should've started investing in real exclusives long ago.
Even the control scheme names are fun:
Last time around
Spartan
Duty Calls
Try to guess which one refers to what... :)
But frankly I'd expect at least a million. I loved the game, and there was much hype, still it only sold twice of MW2 in its third month (or outsold if you also add PS3 version).
Although I'd like one, MajorNelson says there won't be any:

No. The press event (called X10) is not going to be streamed online anywhere. It's not a keynote kinda of event. It's more playing games
I never bought points directly from MS, that's a ripoff.
But you can get 4000 MS points from Amazon for $45 (10% off) - shipped + no tax. Even without searching for a better deal (there usually is!), it makes no sense to use MS prices as a baseline.
In my opinion, no one should buy them directly from MS.
Fortunately xbox versions also sell well, thus it's not a big concern at the moment. However if it were to ever become like Dreamcast level spread, it would be a disaster.
That's why we had a million in ban waves last year.
You're correct, Patcher was mostly right. If you listened to the actual conversation (not this controversial hit magnet quote), Patcher basically says EA took some risks, however they did not turn out to be profitable.
They also specifically mention that last year was good for us gamers (too many good experiments), but bad for investors. Unfortunately it's the investors who has the last say.
The best options on PC are currently Steam and GOG. And even Steam games are occasionally hindered by third-party DRM schemes (like this one).
Any other DRM basically means no PC games for me.
I find the point system very beneficial. Most of the points I bought were usually at least 30% off. Adding the weekly deals, I get the games average 50% off.
It's not possible with dollar value cards, since they cannot be sold at a discount (a $20 card is always a $20 card).
I was able to get Quantum or Solace at a clearance, and I enjoyed the single player a lot. They say it's not challenging, but if you start with higher difficulties, it becomes a good run.
(Then you can either give away the disc or trade it, there was unfortunately no replay value).
It's "official SEGA licensed product".
There are already third parties making clones of older systems. This is not a new thing.
This is originally posted Xbox Live General Manager at http://gamerscoreblog.com/p... , and has a less controversial headline "Xbox LIVE being discontinued for Original Xbox consoles and games".
Also it's already being discussed at MajorNelson's blog as well:

You cannot always finish what you started. Game developers have deadlines to ship their games, and probably half of the ideas do not make it.
So as long as it's not something already finished and stored on the disc (looking at Bioshock 2 DLC!), I'm fine with additional DLC. This is probably Bioware continuing to work on completing half-done stuff.
