Sorry but Sonic Colors on Wii and Sonic Generations on PS3 were both amazing.
@skarlett
Think about how foolish it is to say that you love a franchise, but you won't buy the system it is on. Really, think about it. YOU are exactly what is wrong with the gaming community of today. You follow consoles like religions, forgetting that games are about the experience of playing software, not about the brand on the front of a piece of hardware. think about it. You are angry at a company for getting exclusives. The whole purpose of getting exclusives is to get peop...
@utalkin2me
If those are the only games you played on your Wii, you missed out on some of the coolest and most unique exclusives of last generation. My Wii game collection doubles my xbox 360/PS3 collection combined. ...though My PC game collection on Steam alone even trumps my Wii collection.
Wii was, but if you think that the Wii U is you need to take the fanboy goggles off. With the Wii U, it really is more of a PS2/Gamecube situation, just with the roles reversed by Nintendo and Sony. Remember, all of the Wii Us power goes to gaming since it doesn't have to capture and stream video in real time. PS4's only real ace in the hole is the RAM, which isn't the end all as a lot of console gamers believe. Especially considering it is high latency RAM. PS4 still has quite a...
Except even if a company only sells 100,000 on a Wii U version of a major release, they still turn a profit. The rule of business is, when there is any opportunity for profit, no matter how small, take it!
I've never played any Yakuza games even though I own a PS3 and a PS2, so I'm kind of what they are targeting. People that maybe just need an excuse to jump into the franchise.
I like Nintendo and everything, but I think I made a comment last week about there being no way Yakuza would come to Wii U. Good to be wrong, I guess.
@thehitman
Actually, Sony has only stated that it is used for various background tasks such as downloading and uploading. If it was to be used for the OS/video capture, then they would have stated so directly.
You are right about not being able to compare a console to a PC; however, you are wrong if you really believe that the OS and the encoding will be part of the 500mb OS resources.
Nintendo always begins development of their next consoles soon they release their current gen hardware.
The secondary chip is for certain background tasks such as downloading and uploading. It is not for the whole os, nor is it for video capture which needs a decent amount of grunt behind it.
YES!!!!!! I'm so happy about this!!!!!!!
I'm a PC gamer first and foremost. Always have, always will. However, if they do some cool things with the gamepad, I'll definitely be picking this game up for Wii U rather than PC. Assuming it looks decent enough.
@lordme
He already owns a PS4? Wow!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Developers actually always max out the CPU/GPU with every game. However, it can take years for developers to maximize the /potential/ of a CPU/GPU, and that is why optimization is so important.
I don't know why console gamers don't understand that? How does more memory automatically equate to better graphics? It is true that it does to a point; however, after that point, extra ram has no effect on the game. The extra ram is definitely for keeping the OS/and background tasks such as video capture and social networking features present in real time. Also, that CPU is definitely going to be taking some heat from the video capture.
One of my favorite games of all time.
Shouldn't mean squat but it does. Nintendo makes awesome games, but people that fall prey to believing all of the negative stuff unconsciously won't allow themselves to enjoy something.
I think both of them are right in some regards.
The new stuff announcement is coming around the time of E3.
I really hope they will reveal what Retro has been working on!
That would be epic!
