It's just corporate excuses. It's sad that people who actually have power in these companies are themselves fanboys or haters. Wii U could more than handle both FFXV and KHIII. After all, KHIII is very stylized and isn't too technically impressive looking, and the brunt of XV's development was on PS3 which the Wii U is more than capable of trumping. They just need to admit they aren't releasing it on Wii U because they believe it won't sell.
Technically neither Wii U nor PS4 support directx 11. Directx is a microsoft thing. In fact that is why the Xbox is called the Xbox. Because it was Microsoft's Directxbox. The main features of directx 11 are supported by both PS4 and Wii U; however, they would be using open gl or open cl instead.
Get a PC. Done.
You are exactly where I come from. I have always first and foremost been a PC gamer. Which is why I eventually gravitated towards Nintendo. Sony and Microsoft don't really have too much different from what my PC offers. That said, I've ended up getting all of the consoles anyway through deals and such just to play certain games like Final Fantasy and so forth.
I'm sorry for your loss. Some say it takes a mature adult to play "kiddy" games without feeling judged.
Launch lineup was pretty darn good if you held out on some titles. I didn't buy Assassin's Creed 3, Batman Arkham City, or Darksiders 2 for my PC, 360, or PS3 just so I'd have a nice lineup. Got Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Zombi U, and New Super Mario Bros U shortly after launch too, so for me who was patient and purposely waited for Wii U version, it was an awesome lineup. I can easily imagine it was rather subpar for a lot of gamers though.
What is up with Infinity Ward and Nintendo? If it was a Treyarch CoD, it'd be coming to Wii U for sure.
3D Mario, Sonic, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Bayonetta 2, X, Call of Duty, Zelda, Assassin's Creed 4, Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, and Wonderful 101 all make up for an awesome lineup I'd say. Oh yeah, and Super Smash bros. alone makes it golden.
Looks like the VIII rumor was a rumor that was debunked some time ago. That's most unfortunate.
DQVIII I believe is getting a makeover for Vita in Japan, and VII remake came out for 3DS. These need to come here. My 3DS and my Vita are both waiting.
They definitely need to throw a bit more money around. Wii U needs games like Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III, and Metal Gear Solid V. All of which are games that should easily be able to run on the Wii U hardware.
Now the disagrees will will come. And I'm really not in the mood to explain architectural differences or the fact that a lot of the CPU/RAM for X1/PS4 will be going to live video encoding/streaming. Video editors know the toll this can take. They still ove...
If it kills the series, all it will prove is that fanboys will let their love of a franchise kill it because it's on a system that they don't want to buy, because it doesn't have any games. You know, except the games they want to play, but don't want to buy because it is apparently on the system with no games and.. well it loops on like that for a while.

Love the Uncharted series by the way, it's what finally tipped the scale into getting me to buy a PS3.
I really wish they would include original Japanese audio. I just can't stand yuna's voice. And a lot of the actingisn't very good with the exception of wakka, Auron, and occasionally Tidus.

While it's true the PS3 lost Sony waaaaaaay more money than it ever gained, I still think it's a bit too early to call the Vita a flop.
I loved Tecmo bowl. I played it on Genesis though.
PC, Wii U, PS4. I'm not going to support Microsoft's plans. Consumers need to stand up for their rights.
Vita has the same problem. In the end publishers gotta' take the jump, because ultimately, software shifts hardware.
