True. I haven't beat everything in Nintendo Land, and I got stuck with a side mission in Batman, though I completed almost all of the content including the main story.
That said, I think that Monster Hunter 3 is more than enough make up for not having many games released. I have already sunk more than 100 hours into that game.
I don't think it needs a reboot. I think they just need a new game.
Doom 3 was still a good game though. Half Life 2 was an amazing game. I think if the game ends up being awesome, no one really cares.
I like how people say that multiplats aren't selling points, whilst at the same time criticizing Nintendo for not having multiplats. Which is actually only half true. Systems need exclusives and multiplats.
That said, I don't think Nintendo has a problem with exclusives because of their first party franchises. As far as 3rd party support, heck, even the Wii which had notoriously little support had No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams, Last Story, Zack and Wiki, Red Steel ...
Well, if someone picked up a Wii U right now they'd have a pretty decent library. The ones that are suffering for new titles are the early adopters that already played the launch games but have had only 2 major releases in the past few months.
And say what you will about the games that released late. Just because a game released significantly later on a system, doesn't automatically mean that every gamer has already played those games on another system. That said.... ...
I think the same can be said of a lot of Japanese devs. There is a better emphasis on producing something that's ready to ship, rather than releasing a buggy mess long before it's truly ready to ship.
Nintendo has always done gimmicks though.
The D-pad was a gimmick and was hated by a lot of gamers who were used to a joystick. The analog stick and rumble packs were the n64s gimmick. The gamecube's gimmick was the analog triggers, as was the GBA connectivity. Wii was motion. Wii U was a touch screen. That said the touch screen in the middle really does add a lot, and I don't know why people are calling it gimmicky. It's one of those things where if you spend enough time ...
You're joking right? Everyone wants Nintendo to fail these days. Industry, and "gamers" alike.
You mean, "other" next gen systems. The difference between the Wii U and PS4 architecture is seriously only a years worth of tech apart. Though the architecture of the Wii U's CPU is techinically better than the PS4s, the PS4 has more cores so should be able to handle things more efficiently overall. The only real advantage the PS4 has is in the RAM department.
Mika's at it again!
Aren't people tired of writing these yet?
We can't call a system doomed until its killer apps release and then it still doesn't shift units.
Oh you.
Seriously. I love Nintendo but.... man... I'd be lying if I I said those conferences weren't a bit embarrassing in one way or another.
People are ignoring the fact that Nintendo Directs have effectively removed the need for bloated and expensive conferences. Still, I'm going to miss that.
Yes!
Well, since it's not coming to Wii U, it's the PC version for me~ :)
While not as powerful as its competition will be, the Wii U is far from underpowered. People don't like to hear that though, because its a Nintendo product.
Its funny really, they only didn't go for good tech for one generation and then everyone thinks they always make and have made underpowered consoles.
Except its not. It's only underpowered compared to the raw power of gaming PCs just as the PS4 is. Though the PS4 is rocking a lot of(though high latency) ram.
Release Lufia and Lufia 2 already!!!!
What's the big deal? Buy a bigger SD card! I mean, Nintendo went with standard SD cards, so they are really cheap.
Standard 32 gb SD cards are around $25.
