I would love to see that too! Even if they just did it with the MGS3 engine to save on cashola. They should just combine Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2 into one awesome game!
He was also supposed to be done after 2.
I was about to write a comment... then I saw yours. Took the words right out of my mouth.
You sure about that? I've never met a kid with a 3DS, most of the people I know who own them are in their mid 20's.
I babysit kids sometimes, so.. that conclusion isn't just from the fact that I attend a university and would then be surrounded by peers of the roughly the same age demographic.
@Hisiru
I agree. Order of Ecclesia, I thought, was the best Castlevania game to date!
And the gameboy advance before that also got 3 original games. The most popular of them getting a sequel on the DS.
There are also rumors stating the complete opposite, that the thing is really powerful. But you see... the thing is.... all of these are just rumors. Furthermore, it seems that only anonymous sources claim the thing to be under powered.
That said... we won't even really know what this thing is capable of until a few years into it's lifespan. If you disagree... look at the difference between on the PS3 with Uncharted and Uncharted 2. On the Xbox Kameo and then something like G...
I hope you're joking. This is a next gen console we're talking about.
Well... 3Ds started with a lot of ports/remasters too.
Ocarina of Time, Star Fox, Metal Gear Solid 3, Super Street Fighter 4... Regardless... who cares? Good games are good games regardless. I don't own a Vita yet, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't really want one.
Even Nintendo's "flops" were successes. ...save for the virtual boy. I hated that thing!
It's too bad more gamers don't see it as a software competition. Though many gamers will argue that better hardware means more bigger better games. To that I say, compare the content of the average PS2 title to the average PS3 title. 'nuff said.
You know... Mario is a hardcore game too. It justso happens that it also has universal appeal. Afterall, Mario is a gaming icon and no one character since Sonic the hedgehog has been so well known and loved.
Yes!!!! Day one for me!
@mastercornholio
First of all... kudos for the name. Second, writing off any console is idiotic at best, because all consoles offer amazing games that you can't play anywhere else. It's a crying shame that most "gamers" have been too thick headed about graphics to enjoy of the Wii's offerings, and what the Wii U /will/ offer. My Wii stands proudly with my PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Though 2012 for Wii is absolutely terrible with the exception of Xenoblade and Last St...
lol.
Wake up. Next gen is already here. Vita, 3DS, Wii U. Most of the big players are already at the party. We're just missing Sony's and Microsoft's next console offerings.
P.S. PCs and directx 11 are already "next gen." too.
What about all the Call of Duty games that keep selling? They're mostly all the same game.
You forget though that consoles run in extremely optimized environments, and Wii U will definitely be much more powerful than current gen consoles. That said, Frostbite 2 wasn't designed with next gen consoles in mind. It was designed with current gen high end PCs in mind.
update... also the comment about the box. Was that really necessary? I wish I could say I was surprised that so many "gamers" just like to bash Nintendo platforms. The Wii was the first time ...
People say this every generation since gamecube. Of course they will. Heck, Mario and Pokemon alone would keep the company in business forever.
Agreed. I'm sorry... but I really don't even acknowledge console versions of Battlefield. Call of Duty, sure. Battlefield, no. Sorry, it's a PC game through and through.
I say... go back to the original background assets.... render it in actual 3D... may or maybe not touch it up... Keep all of the original angles, then just redo thee Character models in the same style as the original, and redo all of the pre rendered cutscenes.
That way it saves the company a lot of money, and preserves the feel of the original. Bam! That's what I want~
Heck even if they reworked the game to just support 16:9, ran some filters on the backgrounds,...
