Wow. I think you just put into words what a lot of us simply couldn't articulate.
I don't think it needs to be redesigned, but it a renaming would really help consumers to differentiate the Wii and the Wii U.
@svoulis
Sony does region lock their accounts. All that means is you can't buy Japanese PSN content on your American account. You switch to the Japanese account, on your American PS3.
Isn't this article a little late? Past month Nintendo has been absolutely dominating the charts.
Actually, SEGA is going through restructuring right now, and are cutting back on all titles across all platforms. That's why there will only be 3 games coming out for 3DS over the next 12 months. All systems are having severely less SEGA support because they are "focusing on key franchises." In other words, they are going to be scaling back, and hopefully focusing more on quality, rather than quantity.
I'm surprised people have disagreed with facts. Facts can't be disputed. Wait... this is N4G. Of course people disagreed.
You realize that the Wii was actually about 10x more powerful than the PS2 right? The Gamecube was 3 times more powerful than the PS2, and the Wii is about 3 times more powerful than a gamecube. Just third party developers didn't really push the console very far mostly due to storage capacity constraints. But if you're curious, hook up a gamecube or Wii with component cables, stick a gamecube game in it. Then put a ps2 game in while the PS2 is also hooked up through component cables, ...
As a linguistics major, I'm a bit more forgiving when it comes to grammatical mistakes(Compared to English majors). As in linguistics we have the concept of Grammatical standard vs non standard, and then the concept of something being just plain ungrammatical. Though, I will declare some of /these/ mistakes to be simply ungrammatical.
Possibly, though I highly doubt it will be such a big gap as it was with the Wii and the Xbox 360/PS3. I bet it will be more like the difference between PS2 and Gamecube. Noticeable in some titles, but hardly a deal breaker.
Agreed. We already have to wait years and years between releases.
Super Nintendo 2!
Wow. That kind of anger isn't really healthy. I think you've a bit too jaded, and lost sight of what gaming is first and foremost about. Having fun.
The system isn't even out yet, and you're already using a derogatory term for it. If you really are as old as you claim to be, I would think you would show a little more patience and open mindedness instead up "nerd raging" up the forums. Trolling doesn't encourage good fair minded discussion, which...
I can't even look at the page! What the heck. Says authorization required. Lame!
I sure hope it does. I prefer Nintendo products, but I do own all Nintendo/Sony systems, save for the Vita.
Anyway, I want it to do well, because if Nintendo's only real competition in the handheld market goes, then Nintendo's own software/future hardware just won't be as cool. Competition fuels innovation. Heck, if the DS wasn't so innovative, then the Vita wouldn't be as cool as it is now. So it works both ways.
If Vita fails, regardless of how y...
Wow. Troll much?
If 2 comes out here.... maybe there's a chance we'll get an official release of Fatal Frame 4~
I'm calling it!!!
It'll be the swan song of the Wii U or the PS4.
Expect a holiday 2019 release.
Geez... looking at those dates... I remember when I felt like 2000 was this far off unreachable future.
I don't know if it will make the launch... But I'd be really surprised if it didn't come out for Wii U. Nintendo has always had a pretty good relationship with Ubisoft, though the hardware wasn't always strong enough to run all of their games.
Ubisoft also said that they wanted to wait until the next gen for this game, so maybe it'll be a Wii U exclusive, or at the very least, the lead console.
Ubisoft.... Hurry up and take my money!
Oh my gods yes to the Rogue Squadron games and Episode I racer(One my my N64 favs).
And to everything else on the list. Take my money!
System's not even out yet. This is quite an extreme case of knocking something before you try it. Because no one has. ...besides developers who seem to be having a blast with the thing.
