The XBO does not have haptic motors in them. they are simply smaller versions of whats in the grips in the Xbox controller and the previous Sony controllers (teardown's of the controller will show this). Just because they say haptic in one description of it doesn't mean it is a true haptic motor. The smaller weight motors just simulate a haptic feeling and its far from being as accurate as a proper haptic motor.

@Pyrofire95

The rumble in the XBO triggers give the sensation of resistance but it's just a vibration. According to Sony, The DS5 can actually adjust the amount of resistance the trigger has. its not just rumble motors sitting under the trigger. But i could be wrong. We will see once the controllers are in our hands.

Haptic is like how Smartphones vibrate now. theres a lot more control over how it can vibrate for different feelings compared to just rumble weights. But i could be wrong. they aren't fully clear on these.

Nope. Adaptive triggers actually are able to change the amount of resistance the trigger has. It's not just a simple rumble feature like the XBO controller. I could be wrong though but we wont know until they are in our hands.

You sound like someone who doesn't really know how this stuff works.

Another good example that the SSD helps out with is virtually removing any need for the CPU to put resources towards it. That I/0 controller allows the CPU to put all of its resources into the games.

"The push for going from a 10 second load screen to 1 second - meh. Playing through TLOU2 right now, and not once have I thought about load times being an issue that will suddenly change my experience with a faster drive"

Theres more to it than just a loading screen being faster.

If TLOU2 was made on the PS5 we wouldn't have to deal with the initial loading screen from the menu that takes a couple minutes, or squee...

Yeah its a large amount of money but its still a minority investment in the company like the article says...
250 Mil invested into a 17 Billion dollar company is definitely not a major or large investment.

Neither of those games were endless running games. Uncharted was a puzzle game and Rachet & Clank was a side scrolling platformer.

@Atom666

It isn't considered a Major investment. Article states they invested in a minority stake. You know what "minority" means right?

2061d ago 13 agree11 disagreeView comment

Even if MS didn't, this investment doesn't give Sony any rights to control Epic or any of its properties.

So this immediately means they lied? Good one lol! Whatever makes you feel better bub...

Funny thing about this is the fact that so many people want to have 120FPS games but they forget they most likely do not have a TV to take advantage of 120fps.

2068d ago 10 agree0 disagreeView comment

The article said nothing about 60FPS... Care to share where they did? It sounds like the game is planned to be more cinematic which may mean it will be running at 4k 30 with RT which is still great though!

Razzer, I'm liking you more and more as the days go by lol. You never disappoint with your comments.

Because Sony isn't desperate for customers, and their customers actually buy their games. Also, some people like actually owning their games rather than having to pay monthly to keep it.

To give you an example here. The best selling game on both platforms in GTA5 with PS4 copies selling 20+million and only 8+million on XBO.

"I'm outside US. So you're wrong about that too."

Well, that makes you part of the 20% who wont get the PS5.... so how is he wrong?

I for one, will want a PS5 at launch because I want one. The value of the systems comes over time, if you think either system will have full value day 1... you are mistaken. And if you have money then why are you worried about Value? You are clearly wasting money on Stadia.

So far we know about Spider-Man Miles Morales. Insomniac is first party now. And I don't care if this is a "smaller" game compared to Spider-Man 2018, its still a first party launch title regardless.

However, we still are waiting to hear about more games that both companies have yet to announce. We will know the full 1st party launch title lists by the time both companies announce their prices.

"You clearly have not researched what smart delivery is actually doing. Cross-buy, does not offer improvements."

Neither does smart delivery, it literally just grants you a free license to the XSX version of the game if its supported by the developer (just like cross-buy) if you get it on XBO first or vice versa. Hell, MS has even been doing this for a few years now with their exclusives being playable on PC since you get access to in on both PC...

"My understanding is that on ps5 there is a one time redemption for a ps5 version if you buy it on ps4."

This is a new BS rumor to me.

Nothing has been confirmed but.....Why would you need to redeem your game more than once from PS4 to PS5?? That makes no sense... if it does work this way, (which I doubt) once its redeemed then its linked to your account so why would it be necessary to redeem the game a second or third time...
