No. BF5 had a patch later on since RTX cards weren't even out yet when that game was released. They just happened to showcase RT with that game.
They have already stated that games like TLOU2 will be able to utilize their boost mode for PS4 games. Pretty sure GOT was in that information too.
It's backwards compatible with PS4.... Do people really still think the PS5 is not compatible with PS4 games? Especially 1st party games?
@poopmist
Love the name BTW.
It's different from the XBO parity.
This is the XBO clause:
"The parity stipulates that indies are only able to release games on Xbox One if it's simultaneous with versions for other platforms, is exclusive (even temporarily) for Xbox One, or comes with exclusive content to ensure the Xbox One SKU stands out from others released before it."
Thankfully both clauses are gone...
Well since it was originally exclusive to XSX, maybe when they discussed with MS about going multi-plat, MS agreed only by requiring them to have the game run better on their system? It's not the first time MS has done similar practices. Remember when MS had a mandate with the 360 requiring multi-plat games to be on par or better graphically with the competition or they wouldn't allow the game to be sold on their system? I could be a bit wrong. but I swear I remember reading a couple ...
@Marquinho
Kinda funny how it came back looking better once it became multi-platform instead of looking worse when it was exclusive.
But they said I can play xbox games "WHEREVER and Whenever". There goes MS with the misleading PR statements again. /s
It's whatever you want it to be. That's how this website works
Fov sliders could cause performance differences since it brings more of your environment into your view causing the system to render more around you. It's not drastic. But it can make a difference depending on how the game is optimized.
PS Now already works on PC besides downloading the games locally.
I'm sure they will just like they did with the PS4.
Yes, Sony has stated that the ps5 controller can work on the PS4. It's the same wireless Bluetooth but updated on the ps5.
They want to make sure you know its "optimized on XSX" to give the impression its guaranteed to be the best version or as if it isn't on the other systems.
@xetiro
"However, I really hope that the haptics Sony is advocating for DualSense is not just extra rumble feedback like on Xbox controller. The way they describe DualSense seems that the haptics system will be something more advance and capable of simulating more physical sensations."
Cerny did state in the wired article last year that the DS5 will be using voice coil actuators instead of rotating weights, so you can set that worry free. :)
Haptic is just another word for relating to the sense of touch. Which means we have had haptic feedback this whole time... Holy cow! Nintendo did it first all along!
These controllers have been using the same style vibration motor technology since 1997. Its about time we update to a newer more accurate style don't you think... Instead of worrying about who used the word haptic first in a news article?
They supposedly did it first but have not updated ...
Where the heck is this information coming from? The PS5 haptics being in the joysticks??? please share the article discussing this.
And both haptic feedback options are very different in terms of what components they use and the type of vibration motor they use. PS5 is more like a phone or joycons. and the XBO advanced rumble in the triggers just uses a smaller version of the vibration motors in the grips. the same older vibration technology.
The "haptic triggers" pale in comparison to the haptic feedback with the DS5 and how its implemented.
"Also haptics are still vibration motors, just much more advanced than the older weights."
This is what everybody has been trying to explain to everyone that thinks the impulse triggers are even comparable to what the DS5 will do in terms of much more accurate feedback. Nobody is doubting the haptic's definition but they are doubting the comparable reasoning behind stating its the same flippin thing.
Congrats to MS who utilized the word &quo...
@IRetrouk
Regardless of my wrong definition of haptic motors. Still doesn't make the impulse triggers "haptic's" like the way the DS5 will be using it... plain and simple.
Anything that involves touch is defined as haptic which makes Microsoft's description of it sound very vague in that single article of "proof".
And yes of course there is no single type of haptic motor but there's modern and more ac...
They can't even get their act together in regards to Windows 10. That's why I don't have faith in them on top of these two disappointing events.
