If day 1 purchases are possible, then I better be getting my Pre-Order delivered day 1. Please don't disappoint me Amazon!
This is promising to see that there will be more 3rd party support for the DualSense than expected.
Hollow on youtube has been playing Dirt 5 on a XSX over the past couple of days and its still screen tearing. Only footage for this game that hasn't shown screen tearing is on PC and on PS5. I don't think this is because of an early build or anything but I could be wrong.
It's nice to see that the PS5 isn't showing a bunch of screen tearing like all the XSX footage has shown on YouTube so far.
Here we go with the misinformed RDNA crap again... Sony DOES use RDNA 2, BUT they customized their own tool set instead of using AMD's off the shelf RDNA 2 tools like MS did. Also XSX isn't "full RDNA 2" either since its lacking infinity cache which if you haven't heard yet just so happens to be part of the PS5 RDNA 2 GPU.
Its not a coincidence that the PS5 uses the same 256 bit bus just like the RX6000 series GPU's while the XSX uses a 320 bit me...
PS5 preorder cancelled! I just switched to XSX because of this.... UNBELIEVEABLE!

On topic, this can easily be patched in if its really an issue for a lot of people.
Competitive players use smaller screens because it's easier to see everything on the screen at once instead of having to turn your head to see one side of the screen. This way you can keep your head in one place and just use your eyes.
You never understood this because you probably haven't played PC games often enough or even at all to understand how much easier it is to compete. And that sucks for you that you need a big screen to be immersed into a game. A dimly ...
Yeah and you had to hold the power button at startup to reset the video settings since the PS3 wouldn't automatically switch to the supported resolution if you switched between a tv that has 1080p support and go to a friends house with a 1080i screen.
The competitive COD/shooter players usually use smaller monitors. There is a benefit to playing shooters on a smaller screen since it requires less eye and head movement to view the whole screen. But it's also just personal preference.
You just explained what a PC does. Everyone suddenly seems to want to have a PC like experience without wanting to just buy a PC.
Ya'll can't have your cake and eat it too.
To be fair, this can easily get patched in if its as big of a deal as people are making it seem on here.
A hardware issue?? So the system can output a 4k resolution and 1080p but it's incapable of 1440p on a hardware level?? How did you come up with hardware issue? It's clearly just a choice by Sony. They can change this if they choose to. Im sure if they get a big enough backlash like everyone on N4G is making this issue seem, then I'm sure Sony will add support.
Not everyone needs a competitive edge. Some people just play games for fun.
Remember how if you switched to a different TV you needed to reset the video settings by holding the power button at boot for a double beep since the PS3 couldn't automatically switch to the supported resolution of the TV?
"Expanding current studios with multiple teams seem like the way to go"
Yeah, and to think if there are at least 2 teams for Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch, Guerilla Games, and Sony Santa Monica. Thats 10 potential games coming from 5 studios out of the 14-15 studios they have in total. Sony has been slowly developing and investing so much effort into allowing these successful studios to have multiple teams so they can have the flow of exclusives as if...
@King_Noctis
I stand corrected. My mistake.
They need to just scrap it and build something new from the ground up. Fallout 76 and all the problems that its had since release doesn't make me feel good about Starfield even with a "major overhaul" but I hope they prove me wrong!
Im sorry, but where did they say anything about ray tracing for Gears 5? Nowhere. They added a glossy upgraded version of SSR.
Im glad I skipped it. Now I get it for free on my PS5! And it will run better!
Less than 2 weeks until it launches and Amazon still hasn't updated my order saying when my system will arrive. Definitely has me wondering how they haven't been able to figure out if I'll get my system Day 1 or not. Don't these stores already have their orders? I know my local GameStop has their preorders in store already.... Why wouldn't amazon have theirs yet? One of the largest online retailers on the world.
Edit: Nevermind just googled a bit and found ...
Took them long enough to show us more about how this game works.
