Yet it looks no different so which would you consider better to play?
Depends on the game. If the game has a performance mode then it should run at a locked 60 but if the game only had a 30 fps mode than you'll just have a locked 30. Watch Digital Foundry's BC video for PS5 and they will explain this to where it will make more sense.
I believe that day 1 firmware update is already available for the reviewers (Greg Miller updated the firmware on his PS5 the day he received the system.) or else the reviews wouldn't be out yet. It's still a Day 1 firmware update for us consumers but not for reviewers. I could be wrong though.
For miles morales it clearly holds true if you haven't noticed yet, but keep clinging onto BC advantages.
OK thanks for the links. But if you actually count from when the PS5 actually powers on with the audible beep its more like 7-8 seconds. No doubt is the XSX booting quicker but its not 10 seconds drastic like that comparison shows.
Could you share the comparison video link? I can't locate anything showing these results you are talking about.
@raiden
For Rdna 2 each CU holds one ray accelerator in the PC versions so if these work the same way then Xbox would in theory have better RT performance.
But aren't both companies using their own separate dedicated RT hardware instead? If this is the case then there may be no difference between the two implementations.
You got your email confirmation?? :( i hope i get mine soon. Still waiting on them to tell me if im getting mine day 1 too.
Edit: Nevermind. i have confirmation now on my order page. they just haven't sent an email yet. 🎉
Never understood why people prefer this. Unless it's a flying game, I see no reason to do this.
Confirmation of a confirmation back in February..... Thanks Verge.
Wrong article bub.
Interesting how that works right?
Thats normally how most timed exclusives are... Usually 6 months to a year. Also I doubt there will be any enhancements.
Where is the quote from Sony "confirming" this with them? This article shows no quoted proof with Sony confirming this. Basically we are taking IGN Italy's word over seeing an official statement directly from Sony.
Not trying to damage control but we are seriously just going off of one websites claim that they were told it doesn't support 1440p?
id probably get the jacket if it wasn't almost 200 f***ing dollars!!!!!
Sure its not hands on uninterrupted gameplay but its not like the game is going to look any different than in the video.
I believe they just said in this article that in-store purchase will not be a thing. Which means there wont be any in-store pickup since the units wont actually be in the store. They are more likely in the wearhouses ready to be packed and shipped.
@myfathersbastard.
To be fair we would still most likely get ours first anyway since anyone buying online on day 1 wont get the system for at least a couple of days after that order has been made.
Yet it looks no different so which game plays better? Probably the one locked at 60 fps no?
