Yeah I actually was doing this to find and unlock everything on Astrobot to get the platinum faster. Once I collected what I needed from one level I opened the activity cards and hopped right into the next level that needed items found. Starting to use this with Sackboy as well. Honestly it seems to be faster than quick resume is. Literally 4-5 seconds from selecting the activity to being in the game. But apparently Xbox already has this according to some bots. lol

Im sure we will get a better analysis from DF soon enough and they will give us those answers.

It goes both ways dude..... Constant talk about the "huge" difference we are supposed to see for 3rd party games on XSX.... Until people see the proof, it's going to continue. Just like all the doubt about the PS5 SSD being as fast as it is. We wont stop hearing about that until you see the benefit and we already are to an extent. But still waiting to see this TFLOP advantage. Either way it really doesn't matter in the end. What matters are the new games which XSX is still l...

@SmokinAces

For someone named HotMoltenLava they sure cant take the heat! Let alone just having a conversation about this. 🤣

Gotta love the disagrees with my experience with the system lol.

Yeah, Ive already had my PS5 freeze on Miles Morales loading the main menu at one point but it wouldn't close the game so I had to hold the power button down to restart it. I think thats more of a game bug rather than a system bug though since I've seen reports of people crashing/freezing on Miles Morales.

@--Onilink--
"the screen tearing is because they added vsync"

Excuse me? V-sync is what stops screen tearing... not the other way around... you got that mixed up. XSX is using VRR which is supposed to eliminate screen tearing and signs of dropped frames but somehow it still manages to screen tear a decent amount using that feature.

Good to know I'm not the only one who noticed this lol.

"I did not see all that energy when they tested the loading times last week and Xbox loaded faster."

BC games Vs a Cross-Gen aka non BC game. Xbox better load BC games faster with all the work they have put into their implementation all these years compared to Sony and nobody is arguing that.

@ScootaaKuH

"But is there screen tearing?"

He said the PS5 is using V-sync, so no there is no screen tearing.

"both run at a smooth 60fps, and both average 1800p"

But only one of them managed drop lower than 1800p and it wasn't the less powerful PS5. Also AC:V isn't using the next-gen SSD capabilities on either of these systems from what I've seen people say so the difference could be more substantial in future games.

"How would you know?" The guy in the video says so... Did you watch the video?

Besides screen tearing can happen anywhere. Plenty of games over the years have had screen tearing on both systems so I'm sure he has experienced it to know if screen tearing is a deal breaker for him.

It also held a higher dynamic resolution during these tests. But for some reason in the video he said the resolutions are the same even though he stated they were not always the same. At the end he brought up the marginal fps difference but not the resolution difference. 🤔

Also the fact that the XSX dynamic res went lower than the PS5's did but was bragged as "native 4k" before we heard the news.

Usually that was the case but there were some cases where it would happen the moment the disc was inserted into the drive. I believe XBO also had this issue at launch but I could be wrong.

1939d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

MS has had disk drive issues with each console they have produced, and so has Sony. Now we will soon find out if Sony still has these issues too on the PS5.

1939d ago 4 agree3 disagreeView comment

There is video proof showing multiple consoles powering back off the moment they press the power button as well as multiple videos of the disk issues. Some wont go in, some click trying to pull the disk in and fail, and some are just getting very loud vibrations when having a disk in the drive.

I don't think any of the PS collection require the ssd.

yeah there's something about it...

VRR is for sure coming in a patch later on.
