It's development was put on hold towards the end of Battlefield 3's development. I'm pretty sure it's in full development now that BF3 launched.

I love S.T.A.L.K.E.R, but the X-ray
Engine, even in Call of Pripyat with Complete Mod, ranges from looking extremely good to looking downright awful. The foilage draw distance... ughh. I'm pretty sure there's an .ini edit to change it, but I played through without it. Still, it definitely isn't a top 5 engine.

Half-Life 2 and its episodes are a perfect example of a non-regenerative health system working in a modern FPS with tons of shooting and "enemy waves" segments.

And on Fallout 3, health was extremely abundant. Early on when stimpacks are hard to come by, drinking the water in sinks and toilets can bring your health back to max quickly. The small amount of radiation that builds up can be cleared up by RadAway, which is pretty cheap to buy. It's basically free he...

Planned to release within the next 2 years... being developed for next-gen consoles...

Next-gen confirmed.

"I also hate only being able to hotkey 6 abilities total, 2 attacks and 4 'utility'."

Go to settings, turn on elective mode. It removes the preset categories. It sucks that it isn't on as default.

Publishers don't ship without the retailer paying them for the copies. Therefore, shipped is sold. Nobody tracks actual "sales" numbers, since it would be almost impossible to organize with each individual store, and it doesn't matter at all to the publisher.

^^What he said. And Blizzard isn't anywhere near Activision's complete ignoring of problems. Exploits in Starcraft 2 got patched very quickly, and it's constantly being rebalanced and patched for improvements. They're actually better than 99% of developers when it comes to that.

It was also done with Starcraft 2, which was about 2 years ago. I'm completely against the idea, but I don't get why people are surprised when the announcement about this happened a long time ago.

I guess it wasn't such a huge deal with Starcraft 2 though since 99% of most people's time with that was in multiplayer anyways.

The fact that the stock browser on my phone (Galaxy S) is faster than the PS3 browser, has a much better UI, and never crashes on me, says a lot.

It's not even really about the gamepad being bad for browsing. The PS3 browser is slow and LOVES freezing up. Plus, it should have a huge advantage considering it's directly connected to the internet through a cable, while my phone is on T-Mobile's pseudo 4G. Even scrolling down a loaded page on my phone is fast and smoo...

I think Edward McMillen would port it over himself if it does end up happening, since he's really bound close to his games and would want to make sure that nothing gets messed up.

Fun fact: He is one of the two members of Team Meat, AKA the two Super Meat Boy developers, although he developed Binding of Isaac on his own.

The "sales" numbers don't really matter to the publishers or developers though. It's the "shipped" numbers that do. When it's shipped to the stores, the publishers already have their money, anything else doesn't matter to them. The retail stores decide how many copies to order based on pre-orders and supply/demand during the post-launch weeks.

Therefore, shipped copies isn't something you can just scoff at, and is about as accurate to t...

If the problem in Batman AC is random framerate dips to 10 fps or so which only last a couple of seconds, it's the DX11. Turn it off.

Aaaand I just reread his last paragraph and he fixed it. Thought it was stating that the nicrostuttering was still there. So ignore this.

Call of Duty: Human Revolution.

Seriously, what's with the gold colors? Looks like Treyarch has been playing a bit too much Deus Ex.

Although I'm glad they finally tried something new. Hopefully they reinvent the multiplayer formula that COD has been stuck on since 2007.
