War has changed (again).
How did this even manage to get submitted.
Darksiders didn't lock their resolution or framerate, and was well optimized. That was a more than acceptable port. This isn't.
I always felt Wipeout HD was one of the best looking games on PS3. Mainly because of the (sort of) 1080p and 60fps. It's just so sharp and fluid compared to the majority of console games, and the art style is amazing.
I really hope that their PS4 work will see the light of day somehow.
It's actually being planned for a 2013 release on PC, PS3, 360, and WiiU. It's obviously going to look nowhere near even the alpha version of the PC build though.
"If I can buy this and not do it through Steam I'll be buying for sure."
You can actually get in the development builds right now. It's completely community funded. You can pay for a full membership right now and get access to the weekly builds, and get a free copy when the...

Fake confirmed. From the bottom of the page.
"This is a clever disclaimer claiming that this is a parody, and makes no real attempt at spoofing the Steam Community. Spare me, Valve. I am but a humble gamer. I wish not to suffer the horrors of Origin."

Same developer, so it was more like their first try at this kind of game.
Forget the piracy stuff for a minute (I don't even see any people mentioning that they're going to pirate). This is acceptable for a PC game?

"max payne 3 was epic fail compared to the others"
One of the best games I've played this year. I'm getting tired of people saying "It's terrible compared to the others". Most people have nostalgia goggles on for the first Max Payne, or they just want to jump on the bandwaggon. I replayed it after playing Max Payne 3, but it has serious problems with the gameplay.
You have AI that can gun you down with a shotty from a mile away...
No amount of patching can fix the Silent Hill HD Collection though. It's not just the performance.
From the removal and change of sound effects, to making the fog in SH2 look awful, removal of self shadowing and DOF in SH3, retexturing things to remove the intentional rust and grittiness, removal of certain effects and filters, and the terrible new voices in SH3. It really kills the atmosphere and polish of the original games. It's also unacceptable that, apart from ...
CryEngine 3 is amazing.

"It was running on a pc not available to the public. Which means its hella expensive."
It was confirmed to be running on a single GTX 680. Same card running the Unreal Engine 4 tech demo, Star Wars 1313, and (not confirmed, but suspected) Watch Dogs.
The voice acting was terrible.
"He killed mah BUDDIIIIIIEEEESSS"
I wouldn't take his tweets so seriously. 90% of them are him joking around rather than giving serious replies. I think people are overreacting. I mean, look at this.

Neogaf even has a whole thread devoted to his tweets. Just read the first post, it's comedy gold.

Steam doesn't make certain games $60 at launch. Publishers do. That's why Activision games remain $60 over a year later and never have sales, while other publisher's games drop to $5 in less than a year.
"Oh look...Amazon sale on PS3 exclusives..."
And the majority of those are over 2 years old, plus they're still $20 and over. Games on Steam will hit $15 within a couple of months on sale. And you pretty much never see a game over a year old that doesn't hit $5.
"Lol are you talking about the indie bundles on steam? Those are Crap usually."
Indie games... crap?
"Every time a new PC game is released, especially multiplatform games like BF3, Skyrim, Max Payne 3, etc, they're all priced at a full $60 in stores and even on Steam."
Steam sales. And Amazon sales. Spec Ops: The Line was $30 the week after it came out. Max Payne 3 was $30 after a month. Dead Space 2 was $5 only 8 or 9 months after release. Even Battlefield 3 from anti-sale EA had a sale where the game + premium was $70, and the game alone was $30.
The majority of older PC games I have still have servers running and a small community active. In fact, most of the ones that don't, happen to be EA games.
I don't think Sony is anywhere near the level of EA when it comes to shutting down servers though. EA has done it as soon as only a year later, and whenever they release a list of planned shutdowns, it's massive.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Best horror game in years. Frictional Games only consisted of about 7 people at the time too.
