It probably has to do with the fact that Naughty Dog isn't the developer on this. I don't think these guys have the same style.
I love Ninja Theory a lot, but I really don't think this is their style. They should stick to their own IPs, their story and artistic direction are their biggest strengths. Not a reboot of a fast-paced hack n slash series with design decisions that seem straight from Capcom. But hey, free cash from Capcom.
Drop the towels.
Totally on topic.
Whatever composer managed to make trip hop + classical work is a genius. The soundtrack is awesome.
"rFactor is a true sim, GT5 is the closet sim on consoles due to PD being experts in authentic track and physics design.
Graphics wise.
GT5 - Lighting,weather,shaders.
Forza - environments.
rfactor - Does not have the budget.
rfactor 2 looks miles better then 1."
^^This. And you might also be interested in C.A.R.S., as it's a new PC sim that actually has the graphics to go along with it.
"so... gets a sneak peak on the game for free without paying any money for it???
thats called piracy and theft no matter how you wanted to justify it!!!
if they didnt release a demo then you have no right to pirate the game!
fear that it may be buggy?? rent it.
demand a refund that your game is too buggy but dont pirate it and justify those acts!!!
yeah. prices are high. DRM is stupid, but dont fight fire with fire!" ...
Metro 2033 was good, amazing graphics on PC, but it was pretty short and replay value isn't really there. And the load screen between 5 minute sections got really annoying. There were some game design issues too, mainly with the stealth sections.
Splinter Cell Conviction was meh, played it on PC. Worst of the series. Doesn't even feel like a Splinter Cell game.
From what I read on Neogaf, almost everyone that liked Fable TLC and even 2 hate Fable 3. I...
"this game is too hard on the landings even if you do it smoothly, he should have survived."
He switched to the passenger side instead of the pilot seat by accident though at the end though. That's the fail part. You can see him switch to the correct seat at the very very last second before he crashes. So he couldn't control it at all.
"My PS3 also lets me use a DS3 and my PC does not"
I use a DS3 on my PC. I don't have (and I definitely can't adjust since they feel so awkward to me) a 360 controller. There's a program and driver called MotioninJoy that allows you to use it in any PC game with gamepad support.
I recently used it for Arkham City since the gameplay didn't feel suited for M/KB.
*Looks at Steam where majority of games are 75% off, $5 and under*
Uhh... Yeah. Origin's sale is AMAZING. Steam should go out of business. That'll teach them how much better EA is.
/sarcasm
I got Devil May Cry 3 and Alien vs. Predator for free for completing some Steam holiday achievements too. Seriously, Steam is awesome. Not to mention all the insane sales they have going on these 2 weeks.
You missed the sale for $5 on Just Cause 2 yesterday. It's still worth it though. My rule is not to buy anything unless it's a daily (front page) deal, until the last day. Trust me, it sucks buying something for $15 or so and it goes for $5 the next day.
Exactly. That's what Gabe Newell has been saying for ages, and that's why he believes Steam has had such success.
"SOPA is like Seal Team 6 being hired to stop people from sneaking into the movie theater."
This is such a terrible bill. Along with Protect IP. It would ruin the way the internet works completely, and it would be hacker's heaven. I don't think people realize this, but it would say goodbye to Youtube, Google, all search engines, ect.
It would actually HURT all these industries more than it would help them.
Basically all "LED" TVs are LCDs with an LED backlight. There's no such thing as just an LED TV. It's the backlight, the advantage being that it saves energy.
If you're going to mention OLED, it's something else entirely.
I was a paid member ages ago. I was about level 81. I quit waaaaay back right before the "crackdown" on cheaters began. Starting with the heavy restriction on trading. From what I heard, they screwed up the game after that with even more annoying changes. Idk about now though, it's been about 5 years I think.
Project Offset, why just WHY did it have to be canceled? It had insane (possibly more appealing than BF3) looking graphics, animations, and set pieces, and was a PC exclusive fantasy game. Ugghh.
Bink is terrible. Why it's still used, I'll never know. It's the worst on PC ports where it's so easy to see the awful compression being used and there are artifacts everywhere.
The trailer almost makes it look like it'll be longer than XIII or just a lot more varied. I do think some of this was probably content they cut off from somewhere in XIII, because there is no way they could push out this amount of content in under 2 years. But it still looks really good.
About the whole Team Meat-fanboyism thing, Binding of Isaac was made by Edward McMullen (one of the two of Team Meat) and only released on PC on Steam, no plans at all for 360. He's also very likely going to make a 3DS port of the game. I also think Team Meat has stated at one point that their next game probably won't be exclusive to any one platform.
"no, no plans on going console.
console gaming is actually much smaller than pc gaming these da...
