The parts leading up to the ending of Killzone 3 are fine, but you're right, then ending cutscene itself is awful. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it kinda awkwardly and suddenly ends. And the wave from the bomb is terribly rendered for a scene supposed to be that important. It really feels like it was slopped together right at the deadline or something.
Killzone 2s ending was alot more fulfilling and had a more epic feel.
Pitch Black was really, really good. Chronicles of Riddick (the sequel) was ruined by being PG-13, and making a movie fit around that. When Riddick's character and universe is anything but PG-13 material. The Director's Cut DVD fills in a few plot holes and shows a bit of gore, but the movie was still not that great.
Imagine if Terminator 2 was PG-13. Yeah.
But yeah, Escape from Butcher Bay is honestly the best movie tie-in game of all time. It's ...
I have a GTX 560 ti and it runs BF3 at ultra and 1920x1080 (1080p), never drops below 30fps, hits 60fps alot. The GTX 560 ti was about $220 last time I checked.
That "4k" computer sounds like a waste or a lie. I don't even think I could use that much money on the highest end stuff if I tried. Even a tri-SLI GTX 580 rig would be like, $2,300. And one 580 is more than enough for anything.
Crysis 1 wasn't completely open. There were about 12 chapters/levels, and the first two-thirds had HUGE maps, but it was still a linear story and progression. Once the aliens showed up, it got really linear.
There idea for most of it was, "Here's where you need to go, here's a huge map, now get there how you want". Crysis 2 was more like a series of small sandboxes instead.
About the BF3 PC sales thing, it's basically impossible to count the PC sales of any game anymore due to digital distribution. I personally don't know anyone who still buys PC games at retail, all of my friends use Steam.
I'm pretty sure the actual sales, including DD, are more than twice as much. Companies only report retail sales, and so does the NPD (sp?).
Hey everyone, this store discriminates against the poor!!!
Shepard should be my personal negotiator.
We should also get our own walls on our profiles, so we can share pictures of our little dinner that none of the world cares about, and every member's photos and posts should go one the front page.
And a poke button. Man, N4G really needs that.
I could go on a 10 paragraph rant about why N4G needs a poke button. In fact, not just N4G. What if Google had a poke button? What if PSN had a poke button? What if The Witcher 2 had a poke button? Imagine the 10/1...
It been on Steam sales for $1.25. Bargain of my life.
I agree on Dead Space and Resident Evil not being scary. Try the first four Silent Hill games (especially 2 and 3). They're extremely disturbing, no matter how many times you've played them.
Silent Hill particularly never relies on jump scares, and the static makes it very clear that a monster is nearby. But, the atmosphere is extremely strong, and the monster designs are probably the most disgusting things you'll ever see. It's horror comes from the demented ...
It's far more on the sim side than the Shift games. Think like, iRacing level of sim. I played a recent build at my friend's house, and the physics are extremely good. The graphics are also easily better than any PC racer out there, just needs a bit polishing with pop-in and minor other things. The car models are insanely detailed.
It isn't even officially coming out until 2013, which gives them so much time to make what they have even better.
Community Assisted Racing Sim. IMO the name fits the game pretty well because of the way it's being developed.
^^what he said. First time I played MGS2 on PS2, it was miles above anything I played on PC. Until 2003 and on where every PC game after Doom 3 looked a whole generation ahead of the PS2/Xbox/GC.
MGS4s original real-time 2005 trailer looked mindblowing, better than any PC game at the time... then (according to Kojima) the PS3s specs changed, and by the time the game was released, there were better looking games out there. That trailer still looks good today, especially compar...
It can't even keep constant 60fps on Modern Warfare 2 at 1920x1200 with 4xAA. Which is poor, even by low-end GPU standards. It's more of a mass-production everyday desktop kind of GPU than a gaming GPU.
It's obviously a good leap above the current-gen consoles (which struggle with COD 60fps even at sub-HD), but it doesn't even match the $300 cards of 2008. It's BARELY above 2006s high-end 8800 GTX. It's 2012 right now.

There's a website (Google mass effect saves) with ME1 and ME2 PC saves. Next to each save is a list of all the major, and some minor, decisions made throughout the game. It's pretty easy to find one with your choices and preferences. Almost all of them have all the sidequests done.
I used it for getting a renegade ME1 save to use in my renegade ME2 run since I had only played through ME1 with Paragon choices. Honestly, that's better than a comic since it includes ...
Bioware already stated that new players in ME3 wouldn't be able to make decisions from previous games like in ME2, and would start with predertimined ones.
Ninja Blade was terrible, but I heard on NeoGAF that the port itself was actually a pretty decent job.
Zombiemod Classic on Counter Strike is actually alot of fun, I have no idea what you're talking about. More than half of my CS:S playtime is from ZM. And there are thousands and thousands of servers with normal CS:S gameplay, so how it's "ruining" it is beyond me.
God forbid people have freedom to play how they want. I wouldn't do it with Dark Souls though. Not really big on modding SP games if it's a first playthrough, unless it's either a Bethe...
If anything, PC gaming is growing. Back in around September, Steam peaked around 3.5 million concurrent users. On January 2nd this year, it hit 5 million concurrent users. That's simulatious users online on Steam, and not even due to the release of a big game like COD.
Dying much?
Who would really rather speak out "Shepard, Shotgun" then just hit a button and be done with it. If anything, that's more immersion breaking then "enhancing" it as they've been claiming.
And there's about a 3-second delay from when you finish your phrase to when the command actually happens. Maybe that's fine on easy, but on insanity prepare to have your ass handed to you. This would also be a problem for enemies who only pop out of cover f...
You guys really can't wait 2 more days?
