You're kidding right? LCS was released in late 05, about 8 months after the launch of the PSP in NA, I'm guessing the install base was of about 5-10 millions (I assume they weren't higher considering the PSP sales started kinda slow), while the current DS install base is of over 100 million. I hope chinatown wars sells on the DS as I love the game, but saying that it's a good news that a system with an install base about 10 times bigger than it's competitor at the time barely outsells it see...
"A next gen Jet Force Gemini with online multiplayer and avatar support would be great"
next gen jet force gemini with online, would be great, avatar support? not so much.
It's clear that MAdden personnally asked for the retired players to be screwed, he most likely also asked the association to block T2 ahh, and he most surely also the cause of all cancers.

but didn't MS finance the Too Human project? Afterall these years, I'm wondering if they bought the IP.
"Oh he is mad at madworld sales ok but seriously shouldn't he be madder at the actually hardcore based that could actually afford a Wii since they have an HD system but are too good to play such a console?"
Yes they could afford the Wii, but when the time came for them to choose a console, the Wii didn't have enough games that appealed to them. This year the Wii is getting a decent amount of "hardcore" games, last year, not so much.
You can't blam...
Hey Sef, can't you soemtimes state your sources? Last thread I saw you in, you were saying that Chinatown wars has sold over 500k while reports are stating it sold less than 100k. I wish people would atleast say where they find their numbers when using them as the core of their arguments.
As for the Wii, nintendo can be pround of the system sales, which are phenomenal. However, their support for the "hardcore" crowd seems a little bit too late. The Wii has some great ha...
yeah, i can see it sell well in pal regions, but 400k in PAL and 100k in NA? that sounds a bit hard to believe.
Also, anyone knows if it was released in Japan? As far as I remember, most GTA games aren't released in Japan at the same time, and are published by another publisher.
Not that I don't believe you, but I doubt your numbers. Over half a million? wasn't there an article on n4g about 2-3 days ago saying that the game sold under 100k as of now? Or maybe it was only NA sales?
Well, I hope it wells well because it's a really good game, but after seeing the sales on the two titles on the PSP, and the ones on the DS and taking in consideration the install base of each console (DS having over 100 milion, while the PSP had a very small one at the time), ...
I usually buy my games (for PC, 360 and obviously PS3), but when it comes to the PSP, I just don't feel like it anymore. I've had one since launch (and actually bought another one when the slim launched) and bought games for it for years, about 50-60 of them, and most of them were hardly worth playing, so since about a month I've been downloading games for it, and I plan on only buying the really good ones like Dissidia and Persona.
In a way it's true Sony will be making money off the 360 sales of the game, what the article completely fails to mention is how console maker have royalties for every games sold on their system. If the devs of Syberia 3 are to be believed, Sony asks for quite some cash, so I'm guessing Sony would still be making more money if all sales were coming from royalties rather than by their 8-9% in SE.
When was this written?
It seems most of these games were released in the first year of the PSP. I mean, who could choose Pure over Fusion? No Syphon filter, Crisis core, Chains of Olympus or Burnout?
Well, I planned on buying an archos5 this month, and I saw on n4g the rumours about a zune HD, so I decided to wait a bit more before buying something, but I don't intend to wait forever. I don't really need one for the summer, but I do afterwards.
I'm really interested by the ZuneHD, as I love mu current 120GB zune, despite not having access to the marketplace and the zunepass (not offered in Canada from what I understand).
However, I've read a few days ago that it might not have a 120GB model, which would make it useless to me. Also, november 14th? I can wait for september to buy a new media player, but november seems a bit too far for me. I think I'll go with the iTouch if it offers similar features (assuming they do a r...
Looks good.
But, let's hope it lasts more than a few hours, has a decent framerate, good animation, enemy/level variety and decent control.
Well, I guess they always try to be one step ahead...but it'd be nice if 7 were worth it so we won't be waiting for 8. I mean, when Vista came out, it was so "meh" that some people were already awaiting the new one.
I don't usually use the vgchartz numbers, but tey're the only ones I've found (as other sources gave me the total including the PS2 sales), GTA :LCS actualy moved over 5 million units and VCS over 3 millions, with Chinatown wars not having reached 100k yet, I wouldn't say it's selling better than the ones on the PSP. Also consider the very small user bse of the PSP at the time.
I can see some people going back to their beloved XP, but Vista? I mean, from what I heard and from my own experience in the W7 Beta, there's absolutely no reason to choose vista over 7.
I believe that most of these articles are simply saying that the average "mature" game is selling less on the Wii/DS than on the PS2/3/X360/PC, which is mostly true.
Madworld has sold less than 100k as of now, despite being a great game. Chinatown wars is also selling rather slowly, just like no more heroes and house of the dead overkill.
The thing is, while the numbers aren't overly bad themselves, it's quite disappointing considering the install base.
technically, yes they were. Sure, these games (just like GTA : CTW) great games but had rather low sales, mostly in the case of psychonauts. A game that doesn't meet sales expectations (not the ones you and I expect, but those of the studios/publishers) will usually be considered as being flops.
It doesn't matter if a games gets critically acclaimed, if the cost to produce it is higher than the revenue, we can't really call that a success. Since I don't know how much games cost t...
he'd still have games and anime!
but seriously, if Hollywood were to go to hell, you'll miss it. It's like NHL Hitz, I thought I'd never miss that franchise, now I'm sad it's gone.
