expect the wii version to be announced soon, also expect it to share more similiraties with the PSP version than the PS3/360 one, it seems devs see the wii not as a current gen console, but as being somewhat on par with the PSP, despite the wii being like 5 times more powerful.
If to put 7k zombies on screen you have to sacrifice AI, physics, framerate, lighting, texture quality and draw distance, then yeah, I won't call that an achievement, sorry. Then again, I'm not saying they will have to do this to achieve it, I'm just saying it's too early to say that this game will prove that this engine si better than any other engine out today.
DR didn't prove it, RE5 didn't and LP did not either.
DW and N3 put alot of enemies on screen, and I don...
While it's a very good engine, it's not really better than "all other game engines".
If DR2 has simple physics, dumb AI and low res textures (not saying it will, but it's a possibility), having 7000 zombies on screen won't be as much of a technical achievement. Let's wait for the game to be out before claiming that MT framework 2.0 is the be all end all of game engines.
Also, CryEngine2 would like to have a word with you.
but...isn't he just saying that it'd be nice to have some new IPs on the PSP?
I mean, the PS3 has been getting a whole lot of new franchises while the PSP is getting mostly spin offs, not that I don't like them, as I do, but I can see why some people might want some new IPs on the PSP. Games like Lumines, Dead Head Fred, Patapon, Loco Roco, Infected and Pursuit force were made on the PSP and are all great games to have. It's always nice to have something "unique" to you...
well, so far we had Patapon2, Mana khemia (enjoyable when playing from memory stick), hammerin hero and Prinny.
PSP should get MHFU, Persona, SOCOM FTB3, MS:AE, Assassin's creed 2, RBUnplugged, Jak and Daxter, LBP, Dissidia and Ao2. That's a pretty solid line up so far, and it will likely get even better at E3. While I never thought it was true, the "PSP has no game" argument should be proven wrong once and for all this year.
Also, I'm pretty sure we'll be...
why not on the Wii? Maybe because IW is doing MW2, not the B-team.
why is the headline lil wayne more influencial than anyone, it should all be about Moot!!!
i don't see this as a threat to blu-ray. Blu-ray players are relatively cheap right now and by the time these discs make it out on the market, if ever, the price for a blu-ray player will likely be very low and affordable. Also, if you look at how slowly the average consumer is to switch to blu-ray despite the fact that HD-DVD is dead, I'm not sure it would be wise to put another format on the market, as blu-ray will have somewhat of an established foothold and the market for HD formats will ...
MGS PO2? was that even officially announced?
I read in the open zone that it was talked about in 2007, but was it a rumour or a real announcement?
Lite? why not the DSi...because there's no way I'm buying that crappy blue one and I feel like I have enough black stuff (black zune, 360 elite, PS3, PSP, DSLite, iPhone and laptop)
no mention about WestWood Studios? :(
O-kay, I know some of the staff are still working at EA, but still, WW is still technically dead.
I demand to be given a RA2 spin off in which you play as Yuri Prime and mind control people. Yep, I demand that! I also want dinosaurs in it, aswell as Boris, Tanya and school buses full of bears. That would be so awesome, I would stop watching 30 rock just to play that game. And I don't care if the game is a dating simulator, you can't go wrong with a bald russian with weird stuff attached to his head! PROVE ME WRONG!
no more free will, only my will, I'm Yuri, obey me.
Sales matter, no doubt, however, if you're a big publisher with a console like MS, Sony or Nintendo, it might actually be worth continuing a franchise if that franchise is some kind of icon for your console. I'm pretty sure Nintendo wouldn't stop making mario games even if one of them were to sell poorly.
However, if you're without a console (like Sega was after shenmue 2), there's no reason to puit money on a franchise that doesn't sell well enough.
In other words,...
actually, I thought UT3 ran pretty well on the PS3. and while the 360 version had split screen, people could think that the PS3 couldn't handle it, however, with the titan pack, it's all a think of the past since the PS3 version of the game is simply better in every possible way when it comes to content and run about the same. I don't think the UE3 is to blame, lazy devs unwilling to develop their own engine or to harness the full power of the PS3 or simply their amazing incompetence at maste...
I like MH, and while most would say that a console version (like the old PS2 ones or the upcoming MH3 for the Wii) would make for a better game, I for one prefer having it on the go. Sure, the controls can be take some time to learn on the PSP due to only having one stick, however, it's well worth it. Here's hoping MH makes it to the inevitable PSP2.
of course they will eventually remake it. In the past years, they have released FF 1 and 2, on GBA and on PSP, they have remade III and IV, re-released Tactics for PSP aswell as a new Tactics Advance for the DS which pretty much felt like the original Tactics advance. They are most likely working on a V or VI remake for the DS right now. The Final Fantasy brand sells, and while you can only make a new FF games once every few years, remakes can be made quite easily and don't require you to hav...
i agree it would be more interesting, but doenst seem as likely to happen.
I wouldn't say they screwed the casters overall, this item is meant to be used by healers, which makes sense. I guess one day casters will also get something.
well, they did have us play as an helghast in the first killzone, not the faction though. I guess it'd be nice to be able to play as one, one easy way to do it without having the player being in "the bad guys" would be to put us in the shoes of an helghast who opposed Visari during the first few years of the arrival on Helghan.
it was out in late 04 in japan i think.
also, regarding the article, Sony bend made Resistance on PSP. not insomniac.
