I have internet, still, I'm using a laptop, so going to a friend's house is not really a problem for me. When I can, I'd rather go to his house and play in the same room with him than play online and talk in a mic. Same goes for consoles, we both have atleast 2 HDTVs, so we prefer to play co-op games using system link than live or psn.
of course, lan is not essantial, but simply removing it can be bothersome for some situations, and simply because you won'T encounter them, that ...
true. Advertising is found in pretty much every single media, TV, movies, books, radio, internet... At first, I'm pretty sure people complained but after a while, they understood that it was necessary, same will apply with games.
but, weren't analog sticks added to the PS1 controller after it's initial launch?
I mean, I understand Sony doesn'T want to do a "SEGA" and release games that will only be playable on one variation of their platform, but adding some controller options wouldn't be a first.
while having a large one helps since you can carry more games with you, even if you can only put 3 or 4 on yours, it's still technically better than using UMDs, since there'S only one game per UMD. If you can carry a UMD, I'm pretty confident you can carry a small memory stick. Of course, the more space you have, the more convenient it is.
of course hitting the million mark is easier on consoles than on PC. However, if it has a subsciption fee, chances are that people willing to buy it will actually have to buy it, and if it's a good game when it launches, it will hit the million mark fairly easily, the problem is keeping the user base, like AoC and WH failed to achieve but WoW and EQ managed to achieve.
but...what about laptop users who aren' connected 24/7 and still want to play CnC4 from time to time? Or are they not allowed to have fun with the game they payed for?
Sure, in some areas, you can get Wi-fi, and in most case you can get a 3G card. However, in my area, findinf a hot spot can be tricky and I won't buy a 3G card just to play one game. I believe that the point of having a laptop is to have a computer everywhere you go, now EA is telling me that it's true, as long as ...
true, but CoD:WaW does it in such a fashion that it's downright cheap and frustrating.
I rented the game a few weeks ago, not a big fan of WWII shooters, but I loved CoD4, so I thought, let's give it a try. So yeah, when I rent or borrow games, I obviously don't go aroung buying map packs for it. So I go online, notice that there's a playlist for those with a map pack, so I think to myself, that the other ones are for those without. Oh how wrong was I.
Out of like 3...
it better not on PC. unless the game is so awesome that I feel the need to play it at all cost, there's no way I'm paying a monthly fee for a server-based game. I thought APB was going to be a true MMO with thousands of players per servers, you know, like most MMOs. This feels more like a shooter, like CS:S, just with bigger servers...or BF, in a slightly bigger environment.
Well, first of all, I own both a PS3 and a 360, which means that if indeed I were a racist, I would be one on PSN and on Live.
But then again, I'm not really a racist, never been called one before, I'm Asian, living in what is mostly a caucasian city, I go at Laval university, where I met many Black, Asian, White and Indian (from India, not the Natives) and befriended many of them. But I guess that if a random guy on the internet tells me I'm racist because I asked someone from M...
I'll buy it day one. I hope it's a rape game from Japan though!
Edit : @Natsu
you live in Montreal huh? and, from what you wrote, you live in that cheap-ass place to the north were black people own the streets and riot every now and then just for the sake of doing it and then cry for a whole month when the police decide to act?
I'm just wondering, I live in Quebec city and that's mostly how people describe montreal to me.
yay! SDvRAW will be even less enjoyable than it already is! I'll be looking forward to this! I can't wait to see how they will make the next game even worse!
The SmackDown Franchise started great, went to AWESOME levels, went downhill a little, and has yet to rech rock bottom from what I see. Well, I guess it's still better than the RAW one, who just never got great with it's 2 games. But it sure sucks to see that DoR was put to death after 2 great outings...whatever happenned t...
you forgot the Wii, and from a purely financial point of view, we all know how it ended for Nintendo.
...I liked Chester Cheetah: Too Cool To Fool... but then again, I was like 5 and thought that a walking cheetah with sunglasses was stellar...
does it really require that much ram? I mean, they have it running on the PSP (even the 1000) which is very low on memory. of course, I could be wrong.
as far as I know, I think you can. Think of it as a conference call.
well Oner, it's obvious isn't it? Sony bundles great games with their console because it's not selling while MS is bundling games with their 360 because MS is such a nice company and they care abouit their users. Silly you, forgetting about the double standard when it comes to the X360 and the PS3.
why are you saying it will outsell the DS while the article makes no mention of it outselling the DS? or did you not read the article at all?
of course the PSP won't outsell the DS. The article points out that the PSP will, over it's lifespan, outsell the Gameboy, which quite frankly, it will most likely do. The PSP has over 50 millions units sold as of now, the gameboy about 120 million. The PSP however, is still selling while the gameboy is obviously discontinued in most parts ...
well, as far as I know, you just said you were the railway station.
Well, I have to say that for the GPUs, they were right to blame nvidia. I had a 8600m GT in my PC, similar to what apple had in their macbook pros at the time, and the card was at fault. Mine died very quickly and I'm not the only one who had a problem with nvidia's 8XXXm series.
last time i checked, the psp3000 can't be hacked in a way that allows ISOs to be launched, expect the Go to have similar security or maybe even better.
Sure, PSP1000 and 2000 can still be hacked, but over the coming years, if the Go and the 3000 remain unhacked, the number of unhacked PSP will be larger and larger compared to the thinning number of hacked PSPs.
