but then again, while Uncharted 2 has been getting stellar reviews as of now, you can't expect everyone to like it as much. The same actually applies to every single games in history. People have different tastes, if you ask me what I think about Zelda:OoT, I'll tell you it's garbage, actually, I'll tell you the same thing for every single Zelda game since I haven't liked any one of them. But I also know they are seen as being some of the best games ever, but that doesn't mean I actually have...
well, the same could be said about lots of things. Biking, basket ball, baseball etc, are all activities mainly designed to keep you in shape and most of all, have fun. Yet, when they go pro, it gets more intense and they probably don't have as much fun as they used to when they were just doing it for fun.
taking a casual activity and going pro means sacrificing some of the fun in excahnge for some cash. Plus, even if they don't truly enjoy the games, beats the hell out of a no...
it depends. If they make games that take advantage of the touch screen, they could have something great. The same thing happenned with the DS, remember it's first year? (well, I do, I had one and it sucked) Same for the PSP by the way. When a handheld comes out, it seems devs are only thinking about 2 things during it's first year : port some games to it and try to push some games on the console by adapting the controls.
it's only after a few years that they realize that they ca...
can it beat the iPhone? nope, as it's not a phone. Can it beat the iTouch? Yes, as the Zune HD (hardware-wise) has the iTouch beat in every aspect. The Tegra chip is pretty much without a doubt more powerful than even the 3rd gen of iTouch (or iPhone 3GS), the screen is slightly smaller but is still a better screen (OLED vs LCD), it has 720p video out (the iTouch doesn't), has wireless sync (for some reason, the iTouch doesn't despite the fact it also has Wi-fi) and for those who cares (I do)...
look, I have the 360 version of ToV and I plan on getting the PS3 version of it aswell.
However, all these "beta status confirmed" articles kinda make me mad, not because I feel my game was incomplete or anything like that, considering that even without the improvements the PS3 is getting the 360 was great and felt complete to me.
They anger me because all of a sudden, something that has been done in the past numerous times (selling a game, adding stuff in ...
while I can't speak for Wii owners, I don'T see why anyone would want Goldeneye on XBLA, I mean, PD was the better game anyway.
I know Goldeneye had higher scores, but it was also released years before PD, but when put head to head, PD is easily the more enjoyable game of the two.
Not to say that Goldeneye isn't a great game, just saying that nostalgia aside, PD has it beat in every single aspects. Also, the more memorable maps from Goldeneye made it into PD aswel...
No Red Alert 2 but CnC3 made the list? is this a joke?
Any CnC after Renegade felt like the soul-less compared to the previous ones. Also, I can't imagine a game running on the SAGE would be considered as one of the best RTS of all time. I mean, E:BfD was the first game to use the SAGE (under the W3D name back then) in 2001 and EA still uses it to this day, no wonder we still get blocky vehicules and undetailed infantry in RA3.
yes it's included with the Go, but it still is somewhat of a big deal to me. I currently have 6 miniUSB cables (the one I got with my PSP, PS3, second PSP, with SOCOM etc). I use them all the time and since I have many, I can leave them pretty much everywhere where I can need them (my PC, laptop, PS3, and 2 are connected to an adapter on the wall to recharge PSP/PS3 controllers).
With this new one Sony is putting on the Go, it won't be as convenient for me. This looks like Sony ...
while it's probably just a pure coincidence, Maiku, there's no reason for Nomura not to be in hentai, he's in the land of hentai, so who knows...
are you sure it has english VO? and does it also have English text?
Just wondering, I loved ToV on my first 2 playthroughs and after watching the ToA anime yesterday, I really felt like playing ToV once more, but I don't really intend to wait for a localisation, since it usually takes quite some time.
If it has everything in English, I'd be happy to import it.
but, this PC stuff is weird to me. When people say that the best looking games are on PC, people usually say that PC doesn't count since it's not a console.
when a game gets released on another Sony or Nintendo platform, it's still an exclusive (let's say a game is released both on PSP and PS3 on the PSN Store) to Sony right?
When someone says that DX11 is the next gen, he gets told that console generations don't apply to PCs, because of course, it's not a consol...
well, i guess 7 and up wouldn't be so bad. As you might have noticed, I want some RPGs by the end of the year, and (sadly) Demon Souls (which looks great but just doesn't suit my tastes) just ain't the kind of RPG I'm into so I'll pretty much take anything decent haha
REALLY!? ...ahhh, was hoping it would turn out good, guess I'll get Persona and import P3P from Japan for my PSP instead.
Thought it looked really promising and I liked the artstyle of Magna carta 2 though...
while I agree with you in some categories, I can't say the same for the following :
Best FPS : has high chances of being MW2, but I guess it's still on PS3, just not exclusive. Also, we haven't seen any offcial reviews regarding ODST, while some people don't seem to see the point of the game, never underestimate Halo, it would be foolish to do so.
Best PSN or Live title : While PJShooter seems fun, it has yet to be released while games like Shadow Complex and Splosi...
actually, some brand loyalty never hurts when you're working in a company...
They can have iPods and iPhones if they want, but just have the decency of not showing it to your CEO when you're working for Apple's biggest rival. I see people blaming Ballmer, but the truth is, this employee acted stupidly.
If you were in a Coca-cola meeting, would you drink a Pepsi? Would you do a presentation in front of Kaz Hirai with a Samsung LCD TV?
So, like I said, the...
I'll get one, may it be at 249 or 199, I just need a second PSP (have a 2000 with CFW, but I find it slightly too large to carry around with me all the time, so I don't mind having an OFW one if it's more portable).
However, the 32GB iTouch, priced at 299, has 4 times the RAM of the PSP, about twice as much processing power, a multi touch screen and is a much smaller device. The Zune HD 32GB, is priced at about 299 or less, also has twice as much HDD space as the Go, a multi touc...
there's so much fanboyism in this.
Anyway, I play games because they'Re good, not because they're on a particular console.
When it comes to shooter, I play Halo3 and KZ2, as they both offer a different style of gameplay. Halo3 could be somewhat compared to R2, but despite the amusingly high number of people in a single game, R2 falls flat when compared to Halo 3 in multiplayer.
I also play some RPGs, I loved VC, but that didn't stop me from enjoying LO a...
I received this email, saw it this morning. Now, what some people seem to misunderstand is this : there's absolutely nothing wrong with sending a thank you message without any kind of coupon or free stuff. However, this wasn't such an email, it was an AD DISGUISED as a thank you message. Nothing forced them to put ads for Fat Princess (awesome game btw) in the email, a simple thank you with the PSN logo would have been fine.
So please people, don't be overly naive, Sony, just lik...
actually, a GoW3 bundle probably wouldn't sell more than a UC2 one, and I'd also add that both will/would perform rather noramlly, nothing spectacular, which is not to say that both games won'T be spectacular though.
The first Uncharted had some very nice reviews, mostly 9s and 8s, yet it didn't actually shake the world with it's sales, and the same applies to the first two God of War games. All three of these games sold very well, but when compared to Halo, Gran Turismo, Gears, ...
well then Dreamcast, assuming you are right(and it could very well be the case), tell me one pro reviewer who has never, in one of his or her reviews, let his or her personnal taste influence the rating.
I know for sure IGN and Gamespot are filled with reviews influenced by the reviewers personnal taste, expectations and his past experiences with the series. How can one judge the art style while art in itself is totally subjective. How can a soundtrack be rated objectively. I kn...
