"We want to stress that these features are still in the early stages of development and will receive considerable iteration and refinement."
Obviously I'm not a game developer, but how can a game be four months from release, and a feature that seems substantial, only be in the early stages of development?
I love the Mass Effect franchise, but the more I find out about ME3, the more weary I'm becoming of it.
This man speaks the truth!
Dead Space, Bioshock and Mass Effect are three awesome franchises that don't need a MP component.
Alan Wake is a tremendous game. I can't wait for info on the next one.
For anyone looking for the Kotaku link, here it is.

I never played the Rainbow Six Vegas or Rainbow Six Vegas 2 MP, but I loved the campaigns. It's always awesome to snake cam tag a couple enemies, use a C4 to breach the door and kill the enemies with the blast.
I can't wait for the nex...
I forgot that people here from other countries might not be aware of the Black Friday traditions.
So yes, the ad is correct with the release date, but like vic said, there isn't a reason why a future ad, would be advertising a release date for a game that will have already released.
Probably since the Gears 3 Epic Edition unboxing. The guy was completely unenthusiastic and didn't seem to know much about the Gears franchise.
Fail article.
The ad states Uncharted 3 will be available 11/1/11.
/facepalm
I wanted to do the same, but I wanted to see what pics were used. I feel dirty for giving them ten hits.
:-(
I like the 1967 Shelby Cobra more than the 1965 version.
June 2009.
It was a decent game. It's worth playing at least once.
I like the idea of having them separate. I mostly play games for the single player experience. I'll dabble with the multiplayer portion a little bit, but not very much.
Unless it's a must-have game for me, then I'll wait for a price drop because I don't like spending $60 for a game that I'll only play half of it.
I find it funny when people talk about franchise fatigue and relate it to Guitar Hero. The Hero franchises (Guitar, Band, DJ) released like 30 games in a three year span lol. That's wayyyy more overkill than yearly releases for CoD and AC.
I can understand people getting tired of CoD, but the AC games are pretty lengthy and have great stories, so I really don't mind them being released every year. Each game has greatly improved upon its predecessor as well.
Usually around Christmas, Target and Best Buy have sales on the games. I'm fairly certain I got Black Ops for $40 last year.
The campaign trailers for CoD games always suck me back in. No matter how many times I say I'm done with CoD, these trailers always get me.
Like Black Ops last year, I'll probably get MW3 when it goes on sale, just for the simple fact that I don't play MP that much to warrant me spending the full $60 on the game.
The music actually sounds like a blend of one of the Assassin's Creed: Revelations trailer and the little sound effect for the Battlefield 3 trailers.
It isn't definitive if they're on the disc, just seems highly probable that they are.
I love the game too, I just feel kind of cheated with the game only shipping ten maps, four of which were in the beta and another is a remake from Gears and Gears 2.
It just feels like Epic/MS are nickel and diming the fans for everything.
I haven't purchased the season pass yet because I'm waiting to see if the first pack is on the disc or not.
If it is, Epic can kiss my ass. The weapon skins DLC is one thing, because it doesn't add much to the overall game. It's on the disc, whatever, I had no intentions of buying them anyway. If maps are locked away on the disc, I'll just skip them until they release actual content that is downloadable.
The Assassin's Creed franchise is awesome.
After the ACII DLC fiasco (sequences cut to be sold as DLC) I thought I was done with the games. Then just before AC:BH released, I played ACII again, and I loved it even more and ended up buying BH collector's edition lol.
I'm a sucker for these games' story. The story just sucks me in each time.
The trailers for Revelations have been badass too. Can't wait to play this one. It...
@Godmars
If you bothered to play Gears of War, then you would know that the Lambent have been in the games since the first Gears of War. There were lambent wretches in (I believe) an Imulsion pumping facility.
Then in Gears of War 2, there are other lambent locusts.
The way they come out of the ground is also explained in the first Gears of War.
This is the exact reason I held off on buying the Season Pass. They make it sound like you're getting savings, but really the content that's on-disc is the "savings."
If this content was ready at the actual launch, then it should have been available.
They actually used the "DLC" maps in pre-release videos.
They talk about how much content was available at launch, yet for the hardcore fans that were in the beta and ...
