Just because someone doesn't think this game looks very good, doesn't make him a fanboy.
I think this game looks completely mediocre, but guess what my platform of choice was this gen? Xbox 360. I just happen to think the PS4 and its games is more appealing than the Xbox One and its games.
I disagree when people say Crytek games play badly. I enjoyed Crysis 2 and Crysis 3...had a lot of fun with both of them.
That said, this game looks completely mediocre. In fact, nothing exclusive in Xbox One's launch lineup is appealing to me. Any game that does appeal to me, can be had on PS4, which I'm getting. The difference is that Shadow Fall looks great, and Second Son will be right around the corner after that.
The only game that would make me...
I go where the games are.
I play Halo, Gears and multiplats on my 360 and I play Killzone, Uncharted, inFamous and The Last of Us on my PS3.
I'm getting a PS4 at launch because it has more games I want early, with Killzone Shadow Fall and inFamous: Second Son being the main ones.
I'll probably end up getting an Xbox One because I'm sure I'll want to play the new Halo when it releases, but the way Microsoft's exclusive game...
No.
I have the Killzone: Shadow Fall bundle pre-ordered through Amazon. I'm also gonna get the Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Collector's Editions. Can't wait.
I like how people think all of Sony's studios are just sitting around not doing anything. Just because they've only announced a handful of exclusive games, doesn't mean they aren't in development.
I would like to tell the Ubisoft CEO that a pre-owned copy of Assassin's Creed, was the beginning of my AC love.
ACII, AC:BH, AC:R and ACIII were all bought brand new at launch. Three out of those four also had collector's editions, which I purchased. I have also purchased the majority of the single player DLC.
Had I not been able to get the first AC used, I might not have spent hundreds of dollars on the others.
Look at the bright side...Sony MAY announce a price cut for the PS3 at E3 making that blow a little less.
@isarai
Ahhh I see what you mean. Thanks for the clarification.
I get the impression that in the GTAIV trailers, they used the gameplay cinematics. While playing, you could hit a button to change the camera, and one of them was an "action camera" and it seems that's where some their footage came from for the trailers. They used the cut-scenes from the game as well, but it looks to be a lot of in-game action.
I don't buy a lot of used games, but the ones I have purchased, have led to buying sequels new.
A prime example is Dead Space. I rented it from GameFly, liked it so much that I bought it from them. I purchased Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 for full price at launch.
Had I not had the option to play Dead Space that cheap, I probably wouldn't have purchased the other two games. used games CAN be very beneficial in that sense.
I bought SR3 as part of a B2G1 free sale, while I was in the process of playing SR2 co-op.
I had intentions to finish 2 and play 3, I just haven't got around to it yet.
I'm sure there are plenty of people with a backlog of games to play.
I still haven't finished the second one, and the third one is still in the wrapper lol.
Does PETA have a problem with all of the hunting that takes in Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3 and Red Dead Redemption as well?
That's the reason they can crank out so many games every year. It would seem that those 2,100 employees are split into numerous teams working on various titles.
What do you mean by rog elements?
My favorite Mass Effect is the first one. If ME3 had a great ending, that one definitely would have been my favorite.
I definitely prefer the gameplay of 2 and 3, but the story and ending in the first just put it on another level for me. Virmire all the way through the end is just completely epic and fun.
According wikipedia, Ubisoft Montreal employs over 2,100 people.
Ubisoft have multiple studios working on AC games at all time. Revelations had contributions from like six studios. Also, Ubisoft Montreal, their largest studio, probably has several separate teams working in different titles.
The only games from the list that I might want that I don't have are:
Borderlands 2
Dishonored
Portal 2
Will consider based on price, but I already have a small backlog I'm trying to play through.
Like a lot of people, I was immediately against Dead Space 3 when they showed Isaac taking cover, fighting human enemies, adding co-op and making microtransactions such an integral part of the game. However, the more I saw of the game, I decided I wanted it and I think it's an awesome game.
Fighting human enemies, in addition to plenty of necromorphs, makes complete sense with how the story progressed, which makes taking cover make sense. Co-op is completely optional, but...
