I agree with you that ODST is under-rated. The flashback gameplay sequences are brilliant.
Also, if you want to start Halo off right, get Halo Wars (chronologically, it precedes all Halo FPS games). It's a very fun game and fairly easy to get into, especially for Halo fans.
That's awesome being able to switch between Classic vs Remake on the fly.

"Kind of like all the suckers that bought DLP TVs. LMAO. Every person I know that bought a DLP had their set die within 3 years."
Samsung 61" DLP owner here for more than four years without any problems.
*knock on wood*
Haha.
Is there a way to see the list of people who approve stuff?
I'm looking, I just don't see it. Maybe I'm blind...
Nevermind, I found it.
As for the topic, I've downloaded a handful of XBLA games, and they're fun, but none of them seem to be as engrossing as retail games.
I've only played a few games this year...Dead Space 2, Mortal Kombat, inFAMOUS 2 and Killzone 3.
All four of them are great, but I can't make a top ten, sine I've played so few.
Also, I like Killzone 3 a lot. I think the campaign is awesome and is right up there with Killzone 2. The MAWLR battle, despite being partly on-rails, is freakin' amazing.
I love the Mass Effect franchise and I love the Gears of War franchise, but they really had no business to take a jab at Gears of War for something they did in Mass Effect 2.
They could have easily just said, "You know, in Mass Effect 2 we had a lot of arbitrary objects placed for cover, and that's something we're working on for Mass Effect 3." It would have came across a lot less smug and dickish.

"The halo 1 or 2 disks don't work in the 360s anymore. Believe me, I've tried :(.
I wish they did."
Did you by any chance purchase a bigger hard drive on eBay?
I only because I purchased one on eBay and it was a "knock-off" that looked authentic. It was lacking the partition that allowed for backwards compatibility.
I played the game for about 20 hours and hadn't really accomplished much. I think I started playing another game, and didn't pick it back up until a couple months ago, which was about a year after I stopped playing it. I logged well over 100 hours I believe. Once I beat the main quest, I started some of the DLC (GOTY edition) but then stopped playing it again cuz inFAMOUS 2 released, and I bought Killzone 3 as well.
Xbox 360 AND PS3 owner here and I didn't care about the game at all. I bought a used copy just to see if the beta codes would work, and they didn't so I returned it lol.
I was more interested in Killzone 3, though I didn't buy it until a couple weeks ago.
I'm definitely getting a copy of Gears 3, I just have to decide which one I'll get (Collector's Edition or Epic Edition).
I'm definitely interested in numerous other games this holiday as well, mainly Uncharted 3 and AC: Revelations.
While inFAMOUS 2 is definitely an awesome game, it is in no way a 10/10.
I would probably give it an 8.5/10.
I don't like the new voice actor as much as the original.
Cole's redesign was also unnecessary. I'm glad they made him more similar to the original after the initial redesign, but the OG Cole is still better.
Once again, they made it to where you aren't fully leveled up until the game is almost over. Ye...
No.
Xbox only has a few exclusives, and Gears should stay exclusive.
PS3 has plenty of exclusives that are awesome (Uncharted, Killzone, inFAMOUS, God of War, etc).
The last thing we as gamers need, is for Xbox to have even fewer exclusives. If all they had were multiplats, then there would be no need for them to have a console, and then there would be one less console which means less competition which means complacency and a lack of innovat...
They should have charged him to play it.
I'm a HUGE Mass Effect fan and saying those lines is DUMB. The only reason it's dumb is because when you say it, Shepard still says his normal lines, so it isn't like what you're doing taking the place of Shepard and immersing you. I'm glad it's optional because that definitely isn't a reason to buy Kinect.
She was also talking to herself A LOT.
Bungie has had incredibly detailed stats for Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST (Firefight) and Halo: Reach on bungie.net. Their stat tracking is amazing to say the least. I can still go look up to see how I did in my very first Halo 3 MP match.
That said, I like the dig EA is taking at Activision. I may buy MW3, but it won't be full retail price and I damn sure won't pay for Elite. I'm definitely interested in Battlefield 3 as well. Them announcing this makes it that much more ...
"... this is horrible stuff indeed...
... which is THE reason why I didn't pick this game up at release, but will wait for a complete edition to be released in a year orso so I can pick that up for a fraction of the price... "
That's what I'm doing as well. All the exclusive pre-order bonuses pissed me off.
inFamous 2 releases that day, and it's content on the disc already (pre-order codes were just disc unlocks I believe), so count me out of this DLC.
Thanks! I just checked my email and I had this email so I went and got my flaming helmet code.
Yes! I was waiting for The Arrival to go on sale.
